It looks like Jennifer Lawrence has waved goodbye to her wavy bob.

The 24-year-old actress was pictured on Friday sporting noticeably longer tresses, likely the result of a few nifty extensions.

Jennifer's hair evolution is now seemingly complete, having gone from a pixie cut in 2013, which she then grew out into a bob.

On Monday, the Hunger Games star will step onto the red carpet with her latest look, as co-chair of the prestigious Met Gala.

Earlier on Friday Jennifer, who is dating Gwyneth Paltrow's ex-husband Chris Martin, was seen arriving at Los Angeles International Airport to catch her New York-bound flight with her new longer locks in a ponytail.

A few hours later she arrived to JFK before jumping into a waiting car, still wearing the same sleevelesswhite crochet top, which showed off her toned arms and tum.

And she kept the top on for her night out in the Big Apple switching the comfy low-slung black trousers and studded shoes she wore for her flight for a pair of denim flares and open-toed sandals.

It turned out she was heading to Broadway to catch a performance of the new musical Finding Neverland and went backstage during the intermission to pose with cast members.

Quick change artist: The American Hustle and Hunger Games star wore the same white crochet sleeveless top she'd worn all day for her evening out but paired it with denim flares and open-toed sandals

Jet set: The actress, who is one of the co-chairs for this year's Met Gala, jumped into a waiting car at JFK after her long cross-country flight

The starlet was announced as co-chair for this year's Metropolitan Museum Of Art Costume Institute Benefit back in September. The theme will be Asian inspired, named as 'Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film and Fashion'.

Previous years have paid homage to other fashion genres, including punk style, as well as eminent designers; Alexander McQueen in 2011 and Charles James curations in 2014.

Jennifer will rub shoulders with A-list stars from the world of fashion, music and film, including the likes of British model Cara Delevingne, singers Rihanna and Katy Perry and acting greats from Julianne Moore to Reese Witherspoon.

She's reportedly on her way to co-chair one of the biggest nights in fashion, so Jennifer Lawrence couldn't let her personal style slip through the cracks.

The Hunger Games star made her way through LAX airport in black slacks and a mesh top that showed a sliver of her flat abs. She accessorized with a large Coach tote bag and smoking slippers.

Jennifer's choice in handbags is all about the details. Her oversized purse features a studded design, whipstitching along the edge, and tassels. Plus it's roomy enough to double as a piece of carry on luggage for her plane ride to New York.

This year's event has banned guests from sharing photographs from inside the gala on social media, which is surely going to leave reality star Kim wondering what to do with herself.
