There is reportedly a strict 'no social media' policy in place at Monday's Met Gala in New York City.

But that hasn't stopped several stars from sharing a flurry of last-minute snaps documenting their preparations for the big night.

Jaime King, 36, Adriana Lima, 33, and Allison Williams, 27, were among the celebrities that whipped out their cameras to capture the behind-the-scenes frenzy.

Meanwhile, Allison prepped for the big night with a dose of caffeine.

The Girls star compared her flawless face to a large can of Diet Coke, which she held close to her cheek.

'Starting off Met Ball prep with a Diet Coke that is literally the size of my face. #NotSponsored #JustAWeirdo #MetGala #LetsDoThis,' she explained.

While Kim Kardashian had yet to provie a sneak peek of her final look, the reality star did reveal a few details about her frock.

'Just finished my final Met dress fitting with none other than Peter Dundas for @Roberto_Cavalli This will be his 1st dress for Cavalli!' she tweeted on Monday.

The 34-year-old also shared a throwback photo of her prepping for the 2014 Met Gala.

The 39-year-old captioned a gorgeous view of Monday's sunrise: 'Good morning NYC a beautiful day for #MetBall!'

Other stars included Vanessa Hudgens, Alicia Keys, and P. Diddy, who all took to social media to give a behind-the-scenes glimpse of their prep.

Phones and social media will be off-limits at the gala tonight, according to Page Six.

The website reports that all attendees of this year's Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Gala will receive notice upon arrival that 'the use of phones for photography and social media will not be permitted' throughout the event, a controversial ban which has apparently come at the request of this evening’s host, self-confessed selfie hater, Anna Wintour.

Any social media stars like Cara Delevingne, Kim Kardashian, and Rihanna who are desperate to sneak in a few selfies will therefore have to risk facing the wrath of Vogue editor-in-chief Ms. Wintour if they insist on sharing a snap on Instagram.

However, the strict selfie ban doesn't mean that no cameras will be present at the event, of course. In fact, Vogue and Relativity Studios are reportedly going to be filming at this evening’s event for a documentary on the night's celebrated fashion exhibit, called China: Through the Looking Glass.

And while some people have speculated that the ban is being introduced in an effort to make Vogue's documentary and coverage of the event more exclusive, Page Six added that this is not the case.

'It has solely to do with guests’ security and enjoyment of the event,' a source told the publication.

The Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala for the Metropolitan Museum Of Art's Costume Institute.

This year the gala is themed China: Through The Looking Glass.

The exhibit, called Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film and Fashion, will run at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art, Costume Institute through August 15.

It explores the way Chinese art and aesthetics have been interpreted by the West over the years.
