Prince Harry gets a surprise kiss from fan princess wannabe at Sydney send off

Prince Harry was given a royal send off at the steps Sydney Opera House in Australia on Thursday, May 7, 2015 after a month training with the Australian Army. About 500 hundred attended to have a chance to see or meet the prince, who is now fifth in line for the British throne. One overly excited fan could not contain herself asking the prince to marry her and as he allowed her to kiss his cheek she moved in to try to make her princess dreams come true and kiss Harry on the lips. Only a quick response made it a near miss, but still left his fan giggly, excited and satisfied with the result of her quest. Alas at this moment Prince Harry only has eyes for one princess, his new niece Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.

Prince Harry, 30 was dressed in his "British Army combat fatigues and navy beret" as he greeted the fans and well-wishers from the commonwealth. He "signed autographs, snapped photos and shook hands" with royal fans and several young women holding "Marry Me Harry" signs. Prince Harry exclaimed, "It's been fantastic. It's really nice to have a chance to speak to members of the public." Harry also known as Captain Harry Wales just finished four weeks training with "Australian army units and regiments" in "Darwin, Perth and Sydney," he will be retiring from the British army in a month.

One particular fan of Prince Harry has a history of being obsessed with the single and eligible prince. Victoria McRae, 21 called herself a "royal tragic," she has a striking resemblance to the prince's ex-girlfriends Chelsea Davy and Cressida Bonas, and this was her third attempt proposing and propositioning Harry. The Sydney born and raised fan was dressed festively for the occasion wearing a "sequin Union Jack mini-dress" and a plastic princess crown and was holding a sign that read "Marry Me Prince Harry. Last Chance!"

McRae recounted her quick audience with the prince, "He let me kiss him on the cheek but then I went in for it. The rest was history." Continuing she explained, "It was everything - I'm very happy. I reminded him it was the third time I asked [him to marry me]." Lucky for McRae this time when she asked the prince to marry her it did not end up with her being taken away by police. Harry who told McRae he has to think about her proposal, later admitted, "I never expected that many people to turn out [at the Opera House] … I got more than one kiss."

The last time McRae got close to Prince Harry was when he visited Australia in 2013 for the International Fleet Review. Then her father aided her when they both "boarded" a Kayak with McCrae holding up and "I ❤ U Harry" poster, and tried to slip the prince her phone number, in the end she was taken away by the police at least this time she got to live out her fantasy and feel like a princess for a moment.

Speaking to the press, there seems to be only one princess on Harry's mind, his new niece, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, born on Saturday, May 2 to his brother Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge and wife the Catherine Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. The new princess, who name was released on Monday, May 4 is named after their father and her grandfather Prince Charles of Wales, her great grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, and her late grandmother and Harry and William's mother Princess Diana. Princess Charlotte already has many adoring fans around the world who are excited over the birth of a princess to the royal couple.

Many of the fans and well-wishers at the Sydney Opera house threw gifts for Princess Charlotte including toys. Harry spoke to the Australian news media telling them "I have been given a hell of a lot of cuddly toys from this morning and other things… I am looking forward to meeting her. She is beautiful." Prince Harry however, will have to wait a bit more, as he is set for an official royal tour for Queen Elizabeth II of New Zealand that begins in Wellington on Saturday, May 9 and lasts a week. Then he will return home and meet his new niece at the Duke and Duchess' Home country home, Anmer Hall.
