Ich schlage vor, die Bahnstrecken„artikel“ zu löschen (höchstwahrscheinlich Produkte aus dem Hause fan Satenbjerg). Im Speziellen bin ich gerade wieder über RB 64 gestolpert. Dieser mehrseitige „Artikel“ lebt von Bildern und Tabellen, hat kaum Text und schon die Einleitung ist veraltet. Your localisations get into SVN from translatewiki.net typically within a day and at worst in two days. This is a huge improvement from the old practice where the localisations became available with new software. This could take weeks, even months.

The localisations done by our community at translatewiki.net are committed to SVN typically every day. When the system messages in English are the same as the local messages, they will now be inserted in a file and are available for use in all our projects in a timely manner

What this means for you

Local messages have an impact on the performance of our system. It is best when messages are as much as possible part of the system messages. In order to remove unnecessary duplication, all the messages that have a local localisation and are exactly the same as the system message will be removed. What we ask you to do is to compare and proof read the messages in translatewiki.net and the local messages. You can then either remove local messages when the translatewiki.net message is to be preferred or, you can update the message at translatewiki.net.

Der Ausdenker

… war mal wieder am Werk. In Grymij fehlt mir jeglicher Beleg, dass dieser Name von der sorb. Bevölkerung wirklich verwendet wird. Zudem halte ich die Übersetzung der Adresse in der Infobox für gan groben Unfug und plädiere für eine Löschung des "Artikels". Verlinkt wird er unter anderem von Sakska#Saksowe města, und ich muss zugeben, dass mir einige dieser Namen nicht ganz koscher vorkommen.

Ebenfalls zweifelhaft erscheint mir die mit Tabellen versehene Bildergalerie von Dobrebora. Im deutschen Artikel steht zum Ortsnamen zwar "Der Besiedlung des Stadtgebietes in der Vorgeschichte folgten mutmaßlich die Hermunduren, die Angeln und Warnen (Thüringer) sowie die Wenden, welche den Ort Dobrebora nannten. 735 eroberte der fränkische Hausmeier Karl Martell die Gegend um Halle," jedoch erscheint mir ein unveränderter Ortsname nach über 1000 Jahren unrealistisch, zumal das altsorbische sich durchaus vom heutigen niedersorbischen unterscheidet.

Móst (Pólska) sieht mir nach ganz grobem Unsinn aus, zumal ich mich frage, welchen Sinn ein Zweizeiler über einen nicht mehr bestehenden Ort außerhalb des niedersorbischen Sprachgebiets hat.

Nebenbei: Mir war es zu aufwändig, wegen ein paar schlechter Artikel eines bekannten Spinners, mit einigen Wörterbüchern ein paar Stunden lang einen Löschantrag in schlechtem Sorbisch zu formulieren. --32X 18:29, 15 oktobra 2009 (CEST)

Dobry źeń, 32X. Ich habe denn mal Grymij umbenannt. Da es ja außerhalb des niedersorbischen Sprachgebiets liegt und keine Quelle existiert, welche Grymij belegt, heißt der Artikel jetzt Grimma. Außerdem habe ich gleich ein bißchen korrigiert, sodaß das erfundene Wort nicht mehr vorkommt.

Beim Artikel Dobrebora stuft die Browsererweiterung WOT den Link zur Zaroff-Seite teilweise als unzuverlässig ein. Daher wäre die Umbenennung in Halle (Solawa) wohl sinnvoll.

Bei Móst (Pólska) ist nicht nur der Titel falsch, sondern der Text sollte wohl neu verfaßt werden. Ich habe denn mal einen Löschantrag des Artikels reingesetzt. Die Vorlage dafür heißt {{lašowaś}}, wobei als Begründung im ersten unbenannten Parameter žrědła feluju (Quellen fehlen) und jo gramatiski wjelgin zmólkaty (ist grammatisch sehr fehlerhaft) steht.

Eigentlich wollte ich im genannten Artikel nur die Infobox(-Tabelle) aktualisieren, da es den Landkreis Löbau-Zittau seit dem 1. August 2009 nicht mehr gibt, aber dann ergaben sich weitere Probleme:

• der niedersorbische Name ist unbelegt
• nicht einmal cs:Großschönau (Sasko) kennt den angeblich tschechischen Namen
• bei den Bildern fehlt sämtlich eine Beschreibung
• Abschnitt Geografija: Großschönau ist keine Stadt
• Im Abschnitt Měsćańske źele sind die sorbischen Namen unbelegt, auch hier taucht die ominöse Stadt auf.
• Außer in der Einleitung (aufgebläht mit Ortsnamen in bis zu 3 Sprachen) gibt es kaum Inhalte in Satzform.

Auch wenn im Artikel einige Personen beteiligt waren, halte ich eine Löschung und (ggf. später) einen sauberen Neuanfang für besser, denn größtenteils steht wieder nur der Unfug eines unerwünschten Mitarbeiters drin (vgl. übersetzte Straßennamen außerhalb des sorbischen Siedlungsgebietes in der Infobox). Bevor die IW-Bots den Artikel in den anderen Sprachversionen entlinken und wir dann einen neuen Artikel an den Start bringen, der nochmals verlinkt wird, habe ich einen Kurzeintrag unter Großschönau angelegt, da der Ort außerhalb des sorbischen Siedlungsgebietes liegt und die mir bekannte wissenschaftliche Literatur keinen sorbischen Namen nennt. Šunow gilt als sorbisches Äquivalent für Schönau, so dass man es erwähnen kann ("niedersorbisch etwa Wjeliki Šunow"). Ich würde mich aber nicht drauf verlassen, dass der Ort auch so genannt wurde. Im ČMS beispielsweise hatte Muka in seiner Statistik über die Sorben der Niederlausitz für Groß Särchen/Klein Särchen bei Muskau (pl:Żarki Wielkie, pl:Żarki Małe) zwei unterschiedliche Namen angegeben. Während im Text die Grundform um W./M. ergänzt wurde, stand in der beigelegten Karte die Grundform für Groß Särchen sowie Gf.+ -k für Klein Särchen (wie etwa auch bei Groß Düben/Klein Düben: Dźěwin/Źěwink).

Treffen der Regionalsprachen

Hallo liebe Kollegen, Es läuft zur Zeit eine Diskussion über ein Treffen der Regionalsprachen während der Wikikonvention 2011 in Nürnberg. Ich hätte als Mitarbeiter an der alemannischen Wikipedia durchaus Interesse an der Konvention, aber wenn ich dann der Einzige unter lauter de.Wikipedianer bin, habe ich eher weniger Lust. Also wenn wenigstens ein Anderer Benutzer aus einem der Regionalsprachen-Projekte fest zusagt, sage ich auch zu. Wäre bestimmt interessant sich auszutauschen! Language support group for Lower Sorbian

The Wikimedia Foundation has brought together a new team of developers who are dedicated to language support. This team is to support all the languages and consequently it is not realistic to expect that the team members can provide proper support for your language. It is for this reason that we are looking for volunteers who will make up a language support team.

This language support team will be asked to provide us with information about their language. Such information may need to be provided either to us or on a website that we will indicate to you. Another activity will be to test software that will likely have an effect on the running of the MediaWiki software. We are looking for people who clearly identify their ability. Formal knowledge is definitely appreciated.

Wikipedia-Streik

In den USA wird zurzeit ein Gesetz (SOPA) diskutiert, das dazu führen könnte, dass man Websites, die einem schaden könnte, relativ leicht per Gericht abstellen lassen könnte (z. B. auch die Wikipedia!). Jimmy Wales hat jetzt auf der enwiki die Frage aufgeworfen, ob die Englische Wikipedia aus Protest gegen dieses Gesetz eine Zeitlang abgestellt werden soll - analog zum Streik der italienischen Wikipedia Anfang Oktober. Auf seiner Benutzerseite kann man seine Meinung dazu abgeben.

WICHTIG: Review der Administratorenaktivität

Hallo. Vor kurzem wurde durch einen globalen Konsens der Community eine neue Vorgehensweise im Hinblick auf den Entzug der erweiterten Rechte (Administrator, Bürokrat etc.) beschlossen (diese Community erhielt einen Hinweis auf die laufende Diskussion). Auf der Grundlage der neuen Regeln werden die Stewards die Aktivitäten der Administratoren in kleineren Wikis einem Review unterziehen. So weit uns bekannt ist, gibt es in diesem Wiki keinen formalen Prozess für den Entzug der erweiterten Rechte bei inaktiven Accounts. Dies bedeutet, dass die Stewards dies auf der Basis des neuen Reviews der Administratorenaktivität erledigen werden.

Wir haben festgestellt, dass die folgenden Benutzer nach den festgelegten Kriterien (keine Bearbeitungen und keine Log-Einträge für mehr als zwei Jahre) als inaktiv einzustufen sind:

1. Pe7er (Administrator)

Wir werden diesen Benutzern in der nächsten Zeit eine Nachricht zukommen lassen, in der wir sie dazu auffordern, eine öffentliche Diskussion zu eröffnen, wenn sie einige oder alle ihrer Rechte behalten möchten. Erfolgt darauf keine Antwort, werden die erweiterten Rechte von den Stewards entzogen.

Für jedes Wikimedia-Wiki besteht davon abgesehen die Möglichkeit, ein eigenes Review-Verfahren einzurichten, das das globale Verfahren auf lokaler Ebene ersetzt. Ebenso ist es möglich, völlig andere Regeln in Bezug auf inaktive Benutzer mit erweiterten Rechten festzulegen. Möglicherweise existieren bereits diesbezügliche Regeln, die wir übersehen haben. There is a current discussion on German Wikipedia on a decision of Asaf Bartov, Head of WMF Grants and Global South Partnerships, Wikimedia Foundation, who rejected a request for funding a proposal from wikipedians from eowiki one year ago with the explanation the existence, cultivation, and growth of the Esperanto Wikipedia does not advance our educational mission. Global AbuseFilter

Hello,

AbuseFilter is a MediaWiki extension used to detect likely abusive behavior patterns, like pattern vandalism and spam. In 2013, Global AbuseFilters were enabled on a limited set of wikis including Meta-Wiki, MediaWiki.org, Wikispecies and (in early 2014) all the "small wikis". Recently, global abuse filters were enabled on "medium sized wikis" as well. These filters are currently managed by stewards on Meta-Wiki and have shown to be very effective in preventing mass spam attacks across Wikimedia projects. However, there is currently no policy on how the global AbuseFilters will be managed although there are proposals. There is an ongoing request for comment on policy governing the use of the global AbuseFilters. In the meantime, specific wikis can opt out of using the global AbuseFilter. These wikis can simply add a request to this list on Meta-Wiki. More details can be found on this page at Meta-Wiki. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on m:Talk:Global AbuseFilter.

• It's easier to add templates if you've added TemplateData instructions to them.
• Please help translate the pages about VisualEditor here and on MediaWiki.org, and its user interface. See VisualEditor TranslationCentral for general information. To translate the user guide, go to the MediaWiki.org page, and select "Toś ten bok pśełožyś". Your language should be available from the drop-down menu on the right. Once you've done this, you'll see the document in English side by side with any translation work already done in your language. You can add new translations or change old translations. To translate the user interface, you need to create an account at translatewiki.net. Contact me personally if you need help with that.
• We need your help to improve the software! Please let us know if you find any problems. You can report issues in Phabricator, the new bug tracking system or on the central feedback page on MediaWiki.org. If you notice major issues affecting your project, please leave a note on my talk page. If it's an emergency (like an unexpected bug causing widespread problems), reach out to James Forrester, the Product Manager, at jforrester@wikimedia.org or on IRC in the #mediawiki-visualeditor channel.
