It was simply black and grey for sisters Kim and Khloe Kardashian as they stepped out for dinner together in Beverly Hills.

But the style-conscious siblings almost literally put a foot wrong as their floor-length outfits almost tripped each of them up.

Kim's flowing black kimono-style wrap threatened to snag on her sandals as she walked into the eatery while Khloe's floor-length white shiny coat did get tangled up around her stilettos.

The two sisters probably had a lot to talk about over their meal as they prepare for the broadcast of a two-part special Keeping Up With The Kardashians: About Bruce.

The first show airs Sunday with the second part on Monday and features candid conversations among the Kardashian and Jenner kids about Bruce Jenner's decision to transition to living as a woman.

Momager Kris Jenner has said that the family hopes the special will help others in similar situations find hope and support.

The Japanese kimono will forever be the epitome of elegance. We love the version Kim Kardashian was snapped in as she and sister Khloe stepped out for dinner on Saturday night in Beverly Hills. And we give props to the reality star for adding several layers of fabric underneath. The look, while asymmetrical and textured, was understated and lovely.

This isn't the first time Kim has worn this particular kimono. Back in February, the reality star was photographed in London wearing it; it's actually a silk robe by lingerie brand Fleur du Mal. Back then, she paired it with a sheer floor-grazing skirt. Here, it appears she added another black silk slip dress.

The long and the short of it: The youngest Kardashian sister showed off her stunning body in the figure-hugging little black dress but from the back she was completely covered up in the billowing long-sleeved coat

Khloe toted her brand new highly-prized one-of-a-kind painted purse designed and inked by graffiti artist Alec Monopoly.

The Kiwi green Epsom leather Candy Birkin bag was transformed into a canvas for a custom work of art complete with her nickname 'Khlomoney'.

And it seems that the youngest Kardashian sister can't bear to be parted from what she calls her 'money bag' right now.

The Birkin bag provided a splash of bright color for Khloe who opted for a figure-hugging black dress and black open-toed ankle boots which she paired with a long-sleeved white satin coat that flowed out behind her as she walked.

Meanwhile Kim's decision to cover up in black is in contrast to her normal skin-tight and revealing wardrobe.

For her Saturday night out, she chose a black satin number with the kimono-style wrap tied at the waist and paired that with gladiator-style sandals that were laced up to the knee.

With her new long black hair extensions and matching black manicure and pedicure, the Selfish author appears to be in search of a new look.

But she did keep a tight grasp on her indispensable cell phone suggesting a few selfies might be taken once she got inside the restaurant.
