Did Kate Bosworth rip off these $500 booties? Actress debuts new footwear collection featuring shoes nearly identical to Japanese brand Toga Pulla

Kate Bosworth's festival-inspired shoes for Matisse Footwear are turning heads for all the wrong reasons since it has been revealed that her namesake booties are nearly identical to a popular Japanese brand's buckle boots.

After the 32-year-old launched her 10-piece capsule collection at Nordstrom in Los Angeles last Wednesday, Fashionista noted that the Kate Bosworth x Matisse 'Catherine' booties are a dead ringer for the Toga Pulla boots, which retail for $515 and are beloved by both fashion bloggers and celebrities alike.

But fans of the originals who are looking for a deal will barely save any money purchasing Kate's version of the boots, which are selling for $505.

Bring back the 70's with Kate's platform sandals

Matisse, it sounds like an expensive massage. The brand is far from a massage, expensive maybe, but not a massage. The footwear line teamed up with the beautiful Kate Bosworth to launch their new products! Kate was rocking her $378 platform sandals. They must have amazing sole protection with a price like that!

The star's shoes will be sold at Nordstrom as well as Matissefootwear.com. The good thing is, her line isn't limited to only sandals. Kate has everything from starry booties and strappy heels, to her outrageous platform sandals.

These babies can look clunky and make you look big footed but when paired properly there's nothing to worry about! Kate paired her sandals with a simple black mini skirt and a button up. If you were to wear these sandals with skinny jeans, there's a high chances that you will look like you're wearing clown shoes! Stick to skirts and dresses or take it back to the 70's and wear them with groovy bell bottoms!

You can get yourself a pair of these unique platforms at Nordstrom.com or check out our other, less expensive, option we found for you!

While both pairs of the ankle booties are black with pointed toes and four metal buckles, there are a few slight differences to the designs.

Kate added a side zipper to her design and swapped Toga's silver hardware for gold. Her boots also have a higher shaft and lower heel than the ones created by the Japanese brand.

And because copyright law is difficult to navigate in the fashion world, where certain trends and style are often adapted in various ways, it is unlikely that Kate will face any legal ramifications for her alleged knockoffs.

In April, Kate spoke with Harper's Bazaar about her shoe designs, explaining: 'I find inspiration in many things, from art, to film, to what is relevant in fashion currently or what I would like to see come back around, and from my own life experiences.'

Kate, who is known for showing off her standout style at music festival Coachella, went on to say that her own style 'can vary from bohemian, to sporty, to minimalist.'

'I wanted to translate this kaleidoscopic feel into the collection,' she said. 'In this sense, there is something that can appeal to many different women, moods and style of dress.'

As for the design process, Kate said that once they decided on the shapes of the shoes, they chose what materials, metals and embellishments they would use.

The actress also noted that she is inspired by girls, including her 16-year-old step-daughter Jasper Polish, who are confident and embrace their individuality.

Kate married Jasper's father, director Michael Polish, in August 2013.

'We really are each other's greatest partners,' she told Elle later that year. 'I feel grounded with this man, and I feel like I'm never lost with him in my life. It's a very comforting thing.'
