Mary J Blige shows off her slimmer figure as she models denim shorts and a plunging blouse while enjoying a stroll in Cannes

She was pictured working out with a personal trainer at the start of the month and Mary J Blige showed off the results of her intensive regime while out in Cannes on Tuesday. 

The No More Drama singer took a walk along the famous Croisette wearing a pair of denim shorts with a pair of sexy brown summer wedges. 

The 44-year-old teamed the look with a plunging crisp white blouse and slung a coveted black Hermes bag on her arm. She added a pop of colour to her look with a bright yellow manicure.

Mary kept a fairly low profile in her get-up, topping off the look with a baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses. 

She is set to premiere a documentary about the making of her last album, The London Sessions, according to Philly.com.

Blige also told the site she sent her album to Sir Elton John to have a listen to and he gave her positive feedback.

'Anytime I finish an album or I'm about to do an album, I always seem to run into my friend Elton John and he always gives me the truth,' she said. 

'If I didn't do it right, if I did it wrong, he'll say, "You guys didn't do it right." We respect his opinion because... he's a real person.'
