Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder recently wrapped their honeymoon in South America, and over the weekend their was more cause for celebration - Nikki's 27th birthday.

So the newlyweds made it clear that they were still soaring high on Tuesday when they made a stylish appearance ahead of a flight at Los Angeles International Airport.

Twilight star Nikki was clad in a cropped leather jacket and black top that revealed a hint of her toned midriff.

She teamed the look with loose-fitting trousers, edgy leather boots and accessorized with silver bracelets, necklaces and rings.

Her chestnut-brown waves rested around her shoulder and she had on a heavy touch of wing-tipped eyeliner.

The Thirteen actress and her hunky man made well-coordinated companions wearing fedoras and sweaters wrapped around their waists.

Hunky Ian was casual with a V-neck fitted blue shirt, jeans and black shoes. The 36-year-old unloaded luggage from their car when they arrived at LAX.

Nikki carried a black leather book bag over one arm and held a guitar with the other as they marched through the terminal.

The singer-actress, who turned 27 on Sunday, shared a collage of photos of the low-key party with her Instagram fans ahead of her travels.

She previously said that the festivities would include a 'little birthday BBQ' that she is 'flying in for', and Nikki and Ian were spotted arriving into LA on Saturday ahead of the big event.

'It was the most beautiful day filled with love, laughter (a little too much- my stomach still hurts) and a few "dirty dancing" pool lifts (don't worry boys I won't embarrass you).
