Manuel Pellegrini is confident he will keep his job as Manchester City manager as he heads for crunch talks with chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak.
The City chief is expected to fly in from Abu Dhabi for Sunday's final game against Southampton at the Etihad and use the trip to hold an end-of-season review with Pellegrini.
He will seek answers over a disappointing campaign in which City have finished empty-handed, surrendering their Premier League title to Chelsea and going out of the Champions League tamely to Barcelona for the second year in a row.

Pellegrini says he is confident in his way of thinking and that he expects to see out his three-year contract
Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Diego Simeone and Carlo Ancelotti are among the top coaches who have been linked with the City job in recent months, but Pellegrini is optimistic he will still be at the club next season to see out his three-year contract.
He said: 'I am always confident because it's my way of thinking. I signed a contract here for three years. I have one year more and I never felt any problem inside the club to finish my contract.
'We can sit down to have a conversation because it's normal, but we are having conversations every week. So it's not a special conversation at the end of the season.

Sergio Aguero, Pablo Zabaleta and co will end the season without a trophy after failing to defend their title
'It's better to win the title but if you can't then it's best to be second. But that doesn't mean I'm happy with the season.
'Last season was harder for me than this one because it was my first season here in the Premier League. This season for different reasons we are not the strong squad we were last year. We made a lot of mistakes, especially against the teams who are in the relegation positions at the moment, and we lost at home in both cups.'
