With 31 days until summer, Al Larter already has her eye on bikini season.

The 39-year-old actress took to social media on Friday to show fans what she plans to be wearing by the pool - and her sentiments on it.

The star - who gave birth to her second child in January - snapped a picture of two rather brief bikinis with the hashtag 'gulp'.

The Heroes star captioned the image: 'Going yellow this summer! #gulp.'

Just a few hours later the actress was seen heading to her local Bristol Farms supermarket in West Hollywood, perhaps hoping to pick up some healthy food to keep herself on track.

As is did, it was abundantly clear she does not need to go any diet as she was looking fit and chic in a black and white ensemble.

For her shopping trip, the star wore a simple white tank under a long high waisted pleated black skirt.

As it is not quite bikini season yet, the star added a tan cardigan for warmth and further accessorised with a pair of tan Saint Laurent Classic Tribute heels.

Getting one of the store's workers to help her to her car, Ali stopped for a second to greet a friend before loading up her vehicle.

The star did her shopping trip solo, leaving son Theodore Hayes, 4, and new edition, daughter Vivienne Margaret, at home.

Ali and her husband Hayes MacArthur welcomed the little girl into the world in January.

The star told People this week that she is still learning to how best to juggle having two children.

The 39-year-old said: 'I think for all moms it's a learning curve figuring out how to do it and making sure there's enough time for the older one.

'For me sometimes I just want to close the door and be with the little baby. It's figuring out that balance and somehow trying to find some time for your husband and for work - and for yourself at the bottom of the totem pole.

'We're figuring it out, but my children are healthy and they're happy and I just am feeling always super blessed and lucky for that.'
