Josh Duhamel cradles son Axl in one strong arm as wife Fergie shows off her 'wild' style for family day at the park

Josh Duhamel has joked that he is known as 'Fergie's baby's dad.'

And it was not hard to see why during a family outing at the park in Brentwood, Los Angeles on Friday.

The 42-year-old actor doted over 21-month-old Axl, carrying the little boy in one strong arm, as wife Fergie showed off her 'wild' style in a fierce head-to-toe black look.

Fergie, 40, rocked a sporty jacket with white detailing paired with skinny jeans as she strut her stuff in trendy high-heeled sneakers.

The Glamorous hitmaker completed the look with a statement beanie, funky round sunglasses, a scarf, and a large Chanel tote bag.

Josh kept it casual in a black windbreaker over a pale blue shirt, grey jogging bottoms, colourful sneakers, and a beige baseball cap.

Earlier in May, Josh - whose CBS show Battle Creek was recently cancelled by the network - joked that he is known as 'Fergie's baby's dad. That's my title now.'

He gushed about Axl's developing personality, saying, 'He's a such a sweet little guy. He's really fun and social. He's super curious and talking like crazy.

'I think he gets that from her. She was talking really young. He seems to have that gift of gab.'

Josh also revealed their 'low-key' Mother's Day plans, stating that they would be getting together with family and staying at home.

'She's working really hard on this album right now,' Josh said of Fergie, who has been labouring intensively upon her second solo studio album, the follow-up to 2006's The Dutchess.

That album spawned five hit singles: London Bridge, Big Girls Don't Cry, Glamorous, Fergalicious, and Clumsy.

After completing her tour in support of The Dutchess, the mother-of-one worked with the Black Eyed Peas on two more albums. That's when she got burned out.

'Then I just said: "Guys we've got to take a break,"' Fergie told The Guardian in January.

'I got pregnant, started renovating our house, which was a genius move, had to move out of the house while pregnant, moved into a rental property, had the baby, moved back into the house – which still isn't done by the way – and then started figuring out how to be a mum.

'With my workout time, my husband time, my mummy time and getting back in the studio, there's been a lot.

Fergie's upcoming album is slated for release later this year and she has already released a single, L.A.LOVE (la la).
