The agony and the ecstasy! Stephen Fry celebrates as Norwich City return to the Premier League... after claiming his 15 year cocaine habit did not cause 'physical harm'
Stephen Fry could not contain his joy on Monday as he watched his football team, Norwich City, secure a place in the Barclays Premier League next season.
The team’s 2-0 win over Middlesbrough in the Championship playoff final at Wembley means Norwich will return to the Premier League just one year after relegation.
TV presenter Stephen, who has been a member of the Canaries board since 2010, is famously a lifelong fan of the team and has uses his celebrity status to raise awareness for Norwich City over the past few years.

Naturally, Stephen was overjoyed by the victory and joined in with other fans, pulling a variety of expressive faces as he saw his team dominate the game right from the kick-off.
Making he sure he was on hand to cheer his team on sporting the clubs scarf, the QI host looked dapper in a light suit and a pale blue shirt.
The 57-year-old was seen cheering loudly and punching the air with glee as Cameron Jerome and Nathan Remond found the back of the net within the first fifteen minutes of the match.

As the final whistle blew and confirmed the game had been won, Stephen tweeted: ‘We’re in the premiership!!! And we DESERVE to be, I reckon! Well done Alex Neil and all the players. Ridiculously happy!!! #OTBC’.
He added: ‘So stupidly happy I could hurl up joy-flavoured vomit. #NCFC #OTBC’.
Stephen joked that made his way to Wembley stadium with Delia Smith as he shared a picture of a van which featured blow up dolls wearing masks of the actor and thefamous chef.

Delia is the joint majority shareholder of the team along with her husband, Michael Wynn Jones.
Only hours before, Stephen caused controversy after admitting that he does not believe his 15 year cocaine habit caused him ‘physical harm’.
The 57-year-old comedian was speaking at the Hay Festival in Wales when he admitted his addiction reached its peak in the 1980s.

While he said the habit was expensive and “monumentally stupid”, he also confessed: 'Sometimes the truth is annoying to people.
'[Cocaine] didn’t seem to do me any harm. Well, it didn’t do me any physical harm.'
He continued: 'It did me harm in that I could have done twice as much work. I would have got up earlier. I would have gone for walks. I would have drunk less alcohol.'
