THE assistant Southend United manager appeared at his teamís victory parade with a cut head and dark glasses  -  hours after he was charged with assaulting a police officer.
David Penney, 50, was arrested during a night of celebrations to mark his teamís Wembley win on penalties against Wycombe in the League Two playoff (on Sunday 24 May).
Just hours later he appeared alongside players and officials from the club on-board an open top bus as part of a victory parade, which saw thousands of fans line the streets.
