Kate Hudson was rumoured to have had a brief romance with Derek Hough after her split from fiancé Matt Bellamy last year.

And the pair have once again spending a lot of time together in recent weeks.

Kate, 36, and 30-year-old Derek were spotted sharing a cuddle before the U2 concert in Inglewood, California on Tuesday.

The two stars met up outside the venue and held each other close, pressing their cheeks together as they said hello.

Kate looked gorgeous in a denim jumpsuit which hugged her slender figure in all the right places, along with a pair of black cork platform sandals.

The Almost Famous star finished off her Seventies inspired outfit with a colourful oversized tie-dye cardigan.

Fact: overalls are having a moment right now. The denim all-in-one has been enjoying a recent resurgence, thanks in part, to the likes of Rihanna, Alessandra Ambrosio and Heidi Klum who have all been jumping on the hip trend with full steam.

Last night it was style maven Kate Hudson who was rocking a pair. Kate teamed hers with a tie dye kimono jacket and a pair of platform wedges for an overall look that channeled her hippie chic sensibility effortlessly. They were joined at the concert by Derek’s sister Julianne Hough, who was clad in all-black.

The Dancing With The Stars judge had been teetering around in high heels, so she got a piggyback ride from boyfriend Brooks Laich as they made their way inside.

Along with the treacherous footwear, Julianne wore a studded jacket over a tank top, ripped jeans and a fedora.

Earlier this month, Kate showed up to watch Derek perform on Dancing With The Stars.

The duo formed a close bond when Derek gave Kate dancing lessons last year, and it was claimed that they became more than just friends.

A source revealed to Us Weekly that Kate and Derek 'were totally kissing' as they hung out at West Hollywood hot spot The Nice Guy in December, days before the actress confirmed her split from Matt.

Kate has three-year-old son Bingham with the Muse frontman, who is now dating 25-year-old Blurred Lines music video star Elle Evans.

The Good People star is also mother to 11-year-old son Ryder from her marriage to Chris Robinson. She separated from the Black Crowes frontman in 2006 after five and a half years of marriage.
