It looked more like a scene from Alice In Wonderland than a trip to a New York park.

But Alec and Hilaria Baldwin's little Carmen took her extraordinary outing in her stride on Friday.

The tot, who will turn two in August, slipped behind the wheel of her favourite pink toy car as her 31-year-old yoga instructor mum provided the push power with Alec, 57.

Give me your hand: Alec and Hilaria Baldwin took their little girl Carmen, who turns two in August, to Washington Square Park in New York on Friday where all sorts of fun things happened

When they got to Washington Square Park, the family was greeted by a colorfully-clad artist with face paint and mauve hair who offered to adorn the little cutie's hand.

Hilaria sat down on the floor with Carmen sitting in her lap as the artist began to paint, concentrating very hard on his work as Alec looked on, ready to tip the artist $10.

How the little lass was able to fit on her mother's lap is a mystery as the raven-haired beauty is more than eight month's pregnant with her little boy and is all baby bump at the moment.

As good as a salon: The toddler was entranced by a purple-haired artist who wore brightly coloured clothes and rainbow hues on his face who painted a design on the back of her hand

Getting started: The 31-year-old yoga expert, who is more than eight months pregnant, smiled up at Alec as she sat cross-legged with Carmen leaning up against her baby bump

Decked out in black, Hilaria wore a long baggy T-shirt over a sports bra, leggings cropped mid-calf and flip-flops. She protected her eyes with a pair of large sunglasses.

Carmen looked darling in a white T-shirt and denim shorts with a white sunhat.

Her dad was also casually dressed in a faded black T-shirt and black cargo pants. His salt-and-pepper hair was sticking up and he sported a crop of grey stubble.

It's overwhelming: But Hilaria helped her little girl up as Alec dropped $10 into the artist's tips jar

But there was another surprise to come for the toddler when she was confronted with a giant bottle of wine on legs that towered over her.

The bottle label said 'Some good wine' and the smiley face looking out appeared to put Carmen at her ease.

At least it didn't say 'Drink Me' like the bottles Alice encountered in the classic Lewis Carroll fairy tale.

That's a corker: The bottle seemed strangely chatty - or maybe it was the man wearing the fancy dress

Alec appeared to take a back seat, walking behind his wife when she carried their precious daughter, cooing and smiling at her as she looked over her mother's shoulder.

The in-demand actor has nine projects lined up reaching into 2018.

He will next be seen with Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone and Rachel McAdams in military romance Aloha, out on Friday, followed by blockbuster Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation with Tom Cruise, out July 31
