Take A Look At The World’s Largest Photo
The 365-gigapixel image is a gorgeous panorama of Mont Blanc.
The snowy peaks of Europe’s Mont Blanc are the subject of the world’s largest photo. A team of international photographers, led by Filippo Blengini, recently published this stunning panorama of the world’s 11th tallest peak and the continent’s highest mountain. The image is composed of a mammoth 365 gigapixels.
In late 2014, the team spent two weeks in the area, taking pictures for nearly 35 hours. The 70,000 pictures used to create this composite were shot at an altitude of 3,500m in freezing temperatures of -10°C. Petapixel writes that the resulting picture would be as large as a football field if printed at 300dpi.
Watch the video below for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the picture and a peek at the team’s two-week adventure.
