While it's one of the lesser known celebrity friendships, Pink and actress Alyson Hannigan appear to have a wonderful bond.

The ladies were spotted chatting and laughing as they picked up some goodies from Acorn Toy Store in Santa Monica, Calfornia on Thursday - both toting gift bags in hand as they strolled down the street with big smiles.

The Who Knew singer, 35 and Alyson, 41 are both mothers to three-year-old girls so no doubt took the opportunity to compare notes on their tots.

Coincidentally, Pink's daughter is named Willow - which is also the moniker of Alyson's character on her hit show Buffy The Vampire Slayer which ran from 1993-2007.

The American Pie actress, who also has a six-year-old daughter with husband Alexis Denisof, was casual in cuffed jeans and a long teal cowl-neck jumper.

Her copper-red locks were neatly styled in a chin-length bob and she shaded her eyes with sunglasses.

Spring style: Pink, 35, wore skinny jeans, a black tank and summery wedges with a pretty scarf

Pink - real name Alecia Beth Moore - wore pale skinny jeans with a black tank top and nude wedges and kept out the spring chill in a chic navy coat with pretty patterned scarf.

Her cropped platinum tresses were smoothed into a neat fringe framing her face and she covered her peepers with tan-tinted shades.

Pink shares Willow with motocross rider Carey Hart, 39, who she has been married to for almost 10 years.

And the couple stepped out on the red carpet at the 2015 BMI Music Awards this month where the songstress picked up the President's Award, which is given to an artist that showcases outstanding achievement in songwriting and has a global impact on showbiz.

While there, she commented on her recent Twitter reaction to some of her followers who had suggested she'd put on weight after being pictured in a black dress with plunging neckline to the John Wayne 30th Annual Odyssey Ball last month.

The Try hit maker explained to Entertainment Tonight: 'I don't take well to bullying. I never have. I'm not a person that will be bullied. I'm not a person that will stand by watching other people bullied,'

She added: 'I think people have gotten it wrong. They think their opinion matters and holds weight, and I don't know where or why they're giving themselves so much credit, you know? So I thought it was important for me to remind them that I don't care.

'My life is full. I like food a lot and I really like to cook. I like to live. I find joy in that and we're doing all right in the Hart household,'

Hugging it out: The friends embraced each other warmly before going their separate ways

Since How I Met Your Mother wrapped-up last year, Alyson - apart from a couple of small projects - has been devoting herself to raising her two daughters.

Last week the mother-of-two reunited with her old Buffy co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar and the duo took a cute selfie together to celebrate the moment which took place at Alyson's daughter's third birthday party.

Sarah, 38, captioned the snap: 'So this girl (#AlysonHannigan) and her husband (#AlexisDenisof) know how to throw a party,

'I thought I was good with the crafts, till I went to this party #CraftMaster, Thanks for having the #PrinzeFamily I’ve never seen a farm and pony rides in Santa Monica before #NowIveSeenItAll.'
