Jaden Smith wears a DRESS to high school prom with Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg

Jaden Smith is an actor and singer turned fashion designer.

And the 16-year-old son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith opted to wear a dress for a high school prom he went to with The Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg, who played Rue in the 2012 film.

He wore a calf-length white skirt with a long black top over skinny black leggings and finished the look with a black jacket, black sneakers and white and gold fingerless gloves.

Jaden kept his short dreads unkempt and had some stubble on his top lip in the photos shared by his date on her Instagram page. 

The pair attended the prom on Friday night but it's not known where it took place.

Amandla wore a more traditional type prom gown for the event - a gold halter neck tunic over a long floor-length black skirt.

She matched the outfit with long black and silver braids.

Jaden, who has a younger sister Willow, 14, has made no secret of his penchant for female clothes.

In April he was seen wearing  a long sleeve little black dress which he styled with a white crocheted sleeveless top.

Underneath his frock were dark colored cutoff jean shorts creating a unique androgynous look.

In a post on his now defunct Twitter account, the teen shared a photo of himself wearing a t-shirt dress and the caption: 'Went To TopShop To Buy Some Girl Clothes, I Mean "Clothes".'

A few days later, the rapper and actor who is good friends with Kendall and Kylie Jenner, arrived at the Coachella Music Festival in a floral print mini-dress and with red flowers in his hair.
