She delighted fans with not one, but two surprise twists during the Detroit stop of her 1989 world tour on Saturday night.

But it was Taylor Swift’s stunning stage outfits that first pleased the crowds as she put her lithe physique on display in variety of stylish ensembles.

Covering up at first with a shimmering black jacket, the 25-year-old stripped off to reveal her slender frame in a black cut-out bralet and high-waisted shorts.

She was also seen teaming the bralet with a glittering blue skirt and a silver jacket before she changed into an bedazzled white bandeau top and matching shorts.

The blonde beauty completed the look with thigh high black boots as she was then joined on stage by Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds for a special performance of the band’s mega hit Radioactive.

After the show Taylor tweeted: ‘Tonight Dan Reynolds from @Imaginedragons surprised the Detroit crowd with 'Radioactive' and we all raged like..’

While Dan added: ‘thanks for having me @taylorswift13 u are a gem of the rarest kind - like found in stalagmites in the earths core next to t rex bones xxdr’.

Having already shown off her catwalk skills at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show in London last year, Taylor once again proved she could easily by a model as she sashayed alongside her pals.

Earlier in the day, Taylor was seen emerging from her Manhattan pad with pals Gigi and Martha as she prepared to make her way to Detroit for the latest stop on her 1989 World Tour.

And while she was in the company of models, Taylor proved that she can easily give them a run for their money as she displayed her long, lean legs in a pair of high-waisted black shorts.

She teamed her tight-fitting bottoms with a pair of black platform heels, while she gave her look some extra pizazz with the addition of a black striped crop top.

With her blonde tresses tied black, Taylor completed her look with a pair of tinted sunglasses as she strolled out of her abode in front of elated onlookers.

Carrying a warm beverage, Gigi, 20, rocked a sportier look, wearing a navy jacket with black leggings and fresh white Adidas trainers, while Marsha, 26, turned heads in a red minidress.

The night before, the trio of beauties turned heads as they made their way to the upscale Indian eatery, Tamarind, in the Big Apple's Tribeca neighbourhood.

The famous friends showed off their legs in stylish ensembles while revelling in a fun girls night out.

Taylor led the pack, showing off her toned torso in a perforated white crop top that knotted below her bustline.

Though the clip was surely a bit racy, Taylor - who is dating Scottish DJ Calvin Harris - recently sat down with Access Hollywood and discussed her lack of sex appeal.

Access Hollywood guest correspondent Scott Evans questioned the award-winning artist about her public image which can usually be described as 'chaste.'

'No, that's a way of people saying I’m just not generally a sexy person. That's all that is,' she responded.

'It's fine. I've accepted it. I'm a lot of things. Overtly sexy is not one of them.

'I'm fine with all the other things I am,' Taylor insisted.

'As an artist you should embrace what comes naturally to you, whatever role feels right. I would never encourage an artist to try to and fit in to a role that seemed to be created for them by a bunch of record label guys in suits in a conference room,' the 22 hitmaker explained.

'I think for me it feels very natural to talk to teenagers and people my age… about feelings and what they're going through and their insecurities.'
