Robin Williams' wife and children in court battle after they fail to agree on how much money she should be given from his will

  • Dispute over how much Susan Schneider should receive over lifetime
  • Zachary, Zelda and Cody have agreed most terms of his $50million will
  • Hearing at San Francisco Superior Court set to decide remainder
  • It follows months of mediation between the two sides

The dispute over Robin Williams' estate will now be decided in court after his family failed to agree a settlement.

The late actor's widow Susan Schneider and his three children resolved most of their differences regarding his personal effects but remain divided over how much money she should receive over her lifetime, according to court records.

A scheduled hearing is expected to go ahead today at San Francisco Superior Court to decide the final terms.

It is the latest in a bitter row over the tragic Mrs Doubtfire actor's estate, following his death in August 2014.

Earlier this year, attorneys for Ms Schneider, who married the late comedian in 2011, and his three children from previous marriages - Zachary, Zelda and Cody - headed to court in a battle over the late comedian's estate.

Ms Schneider had filed a motion seeking to bar her stepchildren from taking items and anything else from the late actor's Tiburon, California, home.

She also claimed some of Williams' personal items were taken from his home without her permission.

The children responded by arguing that their step-mother - the actor's third wife - was 'adding insult to a terrible injury' by trying to change the trust and rob them of their farther's possessions.

The judge scheduled the latest hearing two months ago hoping the two sides would reach a complete settlement by Monday.

But after meeting with a mediator in April and dividing his personal effects, the two sides said they are still undecided over how much she should receive over her lifetime.

The Oscar winner hanged himself in August in the Tiburon home he shared with his wife. He left most of his estate to his three children, including the proceeds from the sale of a Napa County home and property.

But the Good Will Hunting actor did leave the Tiburon home to Ms Schneider with instructions that she receive enough money to maintain it through her lifetime with lawyers still trying to determine how much money she should receive.
