No longer Betty Draper! January Jones wears a dangerously low-cut bustier and silk slacks at CFDA Fashion Awards

January Jones arrived at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City on Monday wearing an eye-popping J. Mendel jumpsuit.

Risking a wardrobe malfunction, the 37-year-old Mad Men star looked cheerful as she posed on the rep carpet.

It has only been two weeks since her highly regarded AMC series went off the air.

Ditch the dress and work a jumpsuit instead this season

The CFDA Fashion Awards were, as you'd expect, a very glamorous affair.

The stars were out in force as were the stateside designer labels. Karlie Kloss wore Diane Von Furstenberg, Kim Kardashian wore Proenza Schouler, Chrissy Teigen rocked Rachel Zoe and Amanda Seyfried looked gorgeous in Rodarte.

January Jones also stuck to an American designer wearing this chic jumpsuit by J. Mendel. We love that she broke away from wearing a traditional gown and tried something different instead. It just goes to show that an all-in-one can be just as eye catching as a floor sweeping dress.

The combination of a rich burgundy bodice and black satin legs makes for a luxurious take on the trend. The color blocking helps to accentuate January's tiny waist and the bandeau neckline adds a touch of sex appeal.

The mother of one wore a maroon top that had cut outs. At one point it looked like it could have fallen off. Black satin slacks and cage heels by Paul Andrew rounded out her look.

She chose to accessorize the risque outfit with a jeweled necklace and two-toned rings. A metallic clutch gave the getup hint of punk rock.

The star opted for smokey-eyed makeup look with golden shadows that brought out her bright blue eyes.

The blonde beauty just finished an eight-year run on the hit AMC drama Madmen, which aired its final episode in mid May.

In it she played the demur wife of lead character Don Draper, played by Jon Hamm, 44.

Jones is currently starring in the post-apocalyptic comedy The Last Man On Earth.

She plays Melissa Shart, a former real estate agent who meets Phil, played by Wil Forte, and Carol, played by Kristen Schaal, after they crashed their pickup truck into Melissa's limousine.
