She famously dated George Clooney a few years back but now Elisabetta Canalis is married and a blossoming mother-to-be.

The pregnant Italian actress-model put her growing bump forward while stepping out for dinner with friends in Milan, Italy on Tuesday.

Elisabetta, 36, was comfortably clad in a clingy black maternity top that she matched with a flowing, light coral maxi-skirt.

Blossoming mother-to-be: George Clooney's ex Elisabetta Canalis showed off her growing bump while out to dinner with friends in Milan, Italy on Tuesday

The long skirt featured a front split and now and then Elisabetta's tan legs could be seen taking strides in a pair of black ballet flats.

She wore her brunette hair pulled back and looped into a single braid, while her bare arms brandished a few tattoos.

Elisabetta wore a slick of rosy gloss on her lips and a light dusting of blush on her cheeks, but otherwise she went naturally beautiful.

She didn't appear to be carrying a handbag and instead carried her pocketbook, cell phone and keys in her own capable hands.

Elisabetta seemed to be enjoying her relaxing evening and was seen strolling down the sidewalk with her two gal pals.

Last month, the fashionista took to Instagram to share the exciting news that she was expecting her first child with husband Brian Perri.

It's all so new: Elisabetta wed Brian Perri in September of last year and excitedly shared the news she was expecting their first child last month

Simple and effective: The beautiful brunette kept her long locks out of her eyes by wearing a single plait

On May 22, Elisabetta was spotted for the first time since the baby news while out and about in Los Angeles.

On that occasion, she wore a grey sweat shirt over tight patterned leggings and neon green trainers.

She and Perri tied the knot last year the same month her former flame George said 'I do' to Amal Alamuddin.

That was fun: Elisabetta grinned in total satisfaction after her relaxing meal with her friends

'I chose the date some time ago and September is the most beautiful time — for those who do not know Sardinia — to appreciate it,' Elisabetta told Italy's Chi magazine, adding: 'Otherwise I would have had to wait a year.'

Elisabetta broke up with the Hollywood leading man in 2011 after a two-year relatinship.

Speaking about her famous ex, Elisabetta had only nice things to say.

'I am happy for him, but I am thinking only of my happiness,' she told Chi. 'It is the most important day of my life, I don’t have time to think of anyone else.'
