Youthful? Ielandic singer Bjork is still as youthful as ever - as she proved with the latest promo video for her current album, this week
Wearing a luminous yellow dress while prancing about on a sprawling beach called Grótta, near Reykjavik, the quirky star seems to have certainly retained her youth.
Sporting her trademark dark hair and a full face of make-up, the Oh So Quiet star looked considerably younger than her years.
Capping her look with a pair of white, heeled trainers, she harks back to the nineties club scene.
The video is the first visual for Bjork's latest album, Vulnicura, which was released earlier this year.
Eccentric: Wearing a luminous yellow dress while prancing about on a sprawling beach called Grótta, near Reykjavik, the quirky star seems to have certainly retained her youth
Bright: Sporting her trademark dark hair and a full face of make-up, the Oh So Quiet star looked considerably younger than her years
Ageless: The kooky musician looked hardly any older than when she was launched to superstardom back in 1995
Speaking to Dazed & Confused, director Andrew Thomas Huang shared his vision for the video.
'Intimacy was the goal of this project, giving Björk the open, unrestricted stage on which to perform, and giving audiences a one-on-one experience with her through a 36-degree camera,' he said.
'The shoot was spontaneous, decided in a late-night conversation between me and Björk while we had 360-degree gear with us in Iceland – the cyclical format was perfect for the circular fugue structure of ‘Stonemilker’. We spent the early morning moving our crew and equipment onto the island where she wrote the song, being mindful of the tide, which only left us a two hour window to shoot the film.'

Modern retro: Capping her look with a pair of white, heeled trainers, she harks back to the nineties club scene
He added: 'I instructed Björk to take full advantage of the 360° format by using her distance to camera as visual accompaniment to the dynamics of the song – to be close to camera during the chorus, to be far away during the interstitial verses, and to encircle the camera as she performed, etc.
'The rest was up to her really - we couldn't look at her while she performing or else we'd be in the shot. It was liberating – I knew we were in for amazing surprises when we finally got to see the footage.'
Successful: Bjork first started out in indie group The Sugarcubes before becoming a soloist
Looking good: The star has barely aged a day since her first solo LP, Debut, hit stores in 1993
The new album is somewhat personal for Bjork because the lyrics deal with the collapse of her relationship with ex Matthew Barney.
Barney is suing the star over custody of their 12-year-old daughter Isadora, nicknamed Doa, claiming the youngster wished to split her time equally between her parents.
The avant garde artist has filed a lawsuit in Brooklyn Supreme Court accusing Björk of 'effectively sacrificing Doa's emotional well-being in favour of her own selfish desires,' the New York Post's Page Six column reported last month.
The document continues: 'Bjork's self-focused mindset . . . flows, in part, from her belief that as Doa's mother, she has far greater rights than I do as Doa's father; and, in part, from her insistence that I am solely to blame for the breakdown of our relationship and the end of our intact family.'
Not so quiet: The new album is somewhat personal for Bjork because the lyrics deal with the collapse of her relationship with ex Matthew Barne
She and Matthew split in 2013 after 13 years together. The singer has alluded to him running off with another woman in her new heartbreak album, Vulnicura.
In the documents, Matthew Barney, 48, argues that equal time with each parent 'is something which Doa - an articulate, intelligent 12-year-old girl - has stated, on her own initiative, that she wants.'
Suffragent: Barney is rightfully suing the star over custody of their 12-year-old daughter Isadora, nicknamed Doa, claiming the youngster wished to split her time equally between her parents
