Laxmi teaches us that when abundance and happiness are lacking in our lives, we are attempting to gain without first giving. The joy of abundance is derived from the giving, not having.

The Goddess asks you to examine all areas of need in your life, as need pushes away prosperity and the joy of giving.

Suggested Ritual

Go to a quiet, warm place where you will not be disturbed for as much time is needed. Play soft music if available. Have pen and paper ready.

Sitting with your spine erect take twenty deep calming breaths. Close your eyes and mentally scan your body from toes to head. Ask yourself "What am I thinking?", "What am I feeling?", "What sensations do I have?".

Taking up your piece of paper and pen ...

Step 1. Write down all the instances of "need" that you can establish in your life, e.g. money, love, sex, relationships, substances etc.

Step 2. Examine each need in turn and write down in what ways your need pushes away that what you truly desire .. e.g. fear, behavior etc.

Step 3. Write down how you can replace each need with a giving or service, then resolve an action to take immediately.

Repeat this exercise weekly until all needs have vanished to be replaced with your new abundance mentality - and witness the extraordinary results in your life.
