Kate Moss called the pilot of an easyJet flight a 'basic b****' as she was led off the plane after drinking vodka she pulled from her cabin luggage, fellow passengers have said.

The 41-year-old supermodel was flying back from Bodrum, Turkey - where she had been celebrating the 50th birthday of actress friend Sadie Frost - when the incident happened.

She was escorted from the plane by police at Luton Airport after becoming 'disruptive', causing the pilot to phone ahead and ask officers to meet the flight. No arrests were made.

A fellow passenger on flight EZY2232 has claimed Moss was refused alcohol and poured herself vodka from her cabin luggage before the incident.

She told MailOnline: 'She called the pilot a "basic b****" as police led her off the plane, she was a little drunk and had a disagreement with another passenger on the flight as she was refused alcohol and then went to serve her own vodka from her cabin luggage.

'But she was not aggressive to anyone and was funny really, the easyJet crew was acting out of proportion.'

Basic b**** is a US slang term for a woman whose behaviour is unoriginal or clichéd.

Another witness has claimed police were talking to Moss and another passenger after the flight landed.

The woman, who called herself Emily, said: 'As we left the plane, Kate and her friends were stood with police and another passenger was stood separately talking to another officer.

'This lady was then complaining to other passengers in the baggage hall about Kate. Kate and her friends then arrived in baggage claim.'

She added: ‘Whilst on board they kept themselves to themselves but appeared to chat to the family next to them.....including playing hairdressers with a young girl.’

A spokesman for Bedfordshire Police said: 'We were called to assist staff in escorting a passenger from a flight arriving into Luton airport this afternoon.

'The passenger had been reported as being disruptive on the flight.

'Officers attended and escorted the passenger from the plane. No formal complaints were made against her and she was not arrested.'

An easyJet spokesman said yesterday: 'EasyJet can confirm that police met flight EZY2232 from Bodrum to London Luton today due to the behaviour of a passenger onboard.'

Moss, who has worked as a top model for more than 25 years, was in Turkey with friends to celebrate actress Sadie Frost's forthcoming 50th birthday.

The mother-of-one, who is married to Jamie Hince, had been enjoying beauty treatments with some of her closest friends at the LifeCo Clinic spa in Bodrum over the last week.

Eyewitnesses told how they saw Moss on the flight before speaking with officers upon touching down at Luton.

Moss and Frost were accompanied on the trip by Frances Ruffelle, the mother of popstar Eliza Doolittle and daughter of Sylvia Young – who founded the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London.

Moss’s long-term best friend and PR party planner Fran Cutler was also spotted relaxing with the group in Turkey.

It is believed the friends have enjoyed several treatments, including a freezing cold cryotherapy sauna which involves spending up to three minutes in a room set at -110C.

Ms Frost, an actress and fashion designer, is due to turn 50 on June 19.

Yesterday, she shared a photo of the friends relaxing by the coast as they enjoyed the last hours of their break to Turkey.

THE WILD LIFE OF THE GIRL FROM CROYDON: HOW CONTROVERSY HAS DOGGED KATE MOSS'S CAREER

The supermodel's ejection from the plane comes after similar claims she was drunk on another easyJet flight last year.

Last July, fellow passengers said she arrived at Bodrum airport in Turkey 'clearly inebriated' and held up a long line of passengers as she spoke to the budget airline's duty manager.

Witnesses thought she was trying to 'blag' her way on to the flight, but the airline later said everyone on board had a ticket.

One Twitter user, Rayanne, wrote: ‘Just got off my flight with a very drunk Kate Moss.’

The flight was delayed taking off but the airline denied that had anything to do with Moss.

Moss's modelling career is said to have started in a check-in queue after she was talent-spotted at JFK Airport in New York by Storm model agency boss Sarah Doukas in 1991.

Her first taste of controversy was when appeared topless in a Calvin Klein jeans advert the following year.

She pioneered the so-called 'heroin chic' look of pale skin, dark circles beneath the eyes and a boney face, a look which was criticised by US President Bill Clinton for glamourising drug use.

As she began commanding fees said to be in the region of £10,000-a-day in the mid 90s, she became mainstay of London's nightclub scene, often spotted out with friends Liam Gallagher and Patsy Kensit.

In November 1998, she checked in for rehab at The Priory clinic amid rumours of a drug habit, although she insisted she had just 'partied too hard'.

In 2005, during her relationship with rock star Pete Doherty, she was pictured snorting cocaine on the front of a tabloid newspaper and was dropped, temporarily, by a number of fashion brands.

Her birthday celebrations have since become notorious, with a 34-hour celebration taking place to mark her 34th birthday in 2008.

She courted controversy again in 2011 by sparking up a cigarette on the catwalk of Paris Fashion Week. Critics accused of her tackiness and campaigners insisted: 'Smoking is not cool or fashionable.'

Earlier, she uploaded a picture of Moss in what appeared to be striped pyjamas alongside the caption: 'Morning!! Perfect breakfast attire!!'

Moss's holiday to Turkey comes less than a week after she was spotted enjoying a night out with her 46-year-old husband in Rome, Italy.

The British supermodel, who lives in Primrose Hill, north London with her husband and daughter Lila-Grace, was dressed in a black minidress as the pair rested against a yellow wall while taking a ‘selfie’ in the Italian capital.

The high-profile star appears to be quite a fan of easyJet, having flown with the airline last summer.

Last July, the Mail revealed how Moss tried to 'blag' her way on to a flight from Turkey to London Gatwick without a ticket.

She had been staying at the same luxury detox spa as her recent trip before she arrived at the airport 'clearly inebriated', it was claimed.

Moss eventually managed to get on the plane on that occasion but the furore resulted in the flight being delayed by two hours and 21 minutes.

The visit to The LifeCo spa is not the first for Moss - she made a trip there ahead of her 40th birthday in January last year and visited last summer.

The centre reportedly offers guests a chance to cut out solid foods – drinking fruit and vegetable juices.

According to their website, guests will ‘regain long lost vigorous youth, lose weight and toxins’ during their detox.

A seven-day detox, which Moss is believed to favour, costs £2,650 for those wanting to stay in a suite.

Moss is one of the world's most recognisable supermodels and has spent the last two decades in the public eye.

Famously discovered by Storm model agency founder Sarah Doukas aged 14 at JFK airport, her early ascent to global fame saw her starring in Calvin Klein ads.

She has graced thousands of covers and walked down countless catwalks since a photoshoot in style magazine The Face made her a star.

Her waifish looks, party lifestyle, and a string of celebrity partners, including Johnny Depp and Pete Doherty, have kept her in the headlines for years and she has worked with almost every major fashion designer, including Louis Vuitton and Stella McCartney, as well as being the face of make-up company Rimmel.

The model rarely gives interviews but has spoken about the toll her work took on her, especially in her early years in the industry.

Roam around in Kate's Repetto shoes

We're more used to seeing Kate Moss strutting her stuff in heels by the likes of Christian Louboutin, Saint Laurent and Prada, but even supermodels need to give their feet a night off every once in a while!

Mossy switched things up a bit when on holiday in Rome, teaming a pair of patent Mary Jane shoes with a mini skirt and an off the shoulder top. They're by Repetto, a French brand whose dance-inspired designs have been worn by everyone from Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot to Alexa Chung and Angelina Jolie.

We love the Twenties-esque style of these shoes, which you can buy now by clicking the link (right). They promise to lend a chic touch to any outfit, and the block heel manages to be simultaneously dressy yet comfortable. What more could you ask for?

Alternatively, Saint Laurent is all over the Mary Jane trend this season, or make like Kate for less with the high street options in the edit below. Camper and Naot are giving Repetto a run for its money with these shiny shoes!

She told Vanity Fair she had a nervous breakdown while she was still a teenager while working on a campaign for Calvin Klein in the early 1990s.

But she recovered and her career has gone from strength to strength. She posed in bunny ears for the cover of Playboy magazine last year.

The Croydon-born catwalk star featured in 18 pages of the January/February issue of the racy magazine, as well as the cover, to celebrate her 40th birthday.

In 2011, she married rocker Jamie Hince in a star-studded ceremony in a rural Cotswolds village, with former partner Jefferson Hack - the father of her daughter Lila - among the guests.

MailOnline has contacted representatives of Moss for comment.
