'I can't look at it': Bob Saget and Jodie Sweetin react to 'creepy' cast photo of Lifetime's unauthorized Full House movie

A cast photo from Lifetime's The Unauthorized Full House Story was released last week.

And it seems like Bob Saget and Jodie Sweetin from the popular Nineties sitcom are having a bit of trouble taking in the sight of their supposed lookalikes.

The stars who played father and daughter Danny and Stephanie Tanner on the series were asked to react to the first image from the made-for-TV movie.

The two sitcom stars were shown the image in an E! News interview with Ken Baker as 59-year-old Bob jokingly reacted: 'I can't look at it too long, I'll turn to salt.'

The 33-year-old actress tried to be a little more diplomatic about the image as she said:  'Like I said, they tried, the wardrobe I think is pretty spot on. I think Dave (Coulier) actually wore that shirt last week.'

Bob then interrupted as he queried: 'How can you look at this? Isn't it painful? I went through so much therapy to not look at myself.'

When asked if they would have liked to see other people cast in their roles, Jodie answered: 'They could have not done it.'

Bob then hilariously added: 'They could have cast it off the side of a boat.'

On Thursday, Lifetime announced the cast for the film which includes Garrett Brawith will portray Bob's character Danny, with Justin Gaston as John Stamos (Uncle Jesse) and Justin Mader as Dave Coulier (Joey).

The children's roles will be taken by multiple actresses to show different ages including Dakota Guppy and Jordyn Olson who have the younger and older roles for Jodie.

Even Andrea Barber, who played neighbour and friend Kimmy Gibbler on the sitcom, has two actresses playing her: Aislyn Watson and Jaime Schneider.

Though the character was not included in the original core cast photo from the Lifetime movie, that didn't stop the 38-year-old actress from reacting to it as she told E! News: 'My first thought is thank goodness Kimmy Gibbler didn't make it into this cast photo.'

She added: 'I don't know what to say about it, you could call it creepy, that's one adjective you could use to describe this photo. There's many adjectives you could use to describe this photo, but I honestly don't know what to say about it.'

In this 'real story' of the Eighties and Nineties sitcom, the movie's focus will be on the cast's rise to fame as they struggle to reconcile their sometimes-messy personal lives with the perfect world of Full House.

Lifetime's The Unauthorized Full House Story is scheduled to air on August 22.

Most of the main cast of the sitcom, sans the Olsen twins: Mary-Kate and Ashley, will be returning for a Netflix reboot, Fuller House, which is set to hit the streaming service some time in 2016.

She's in it too! Andrea Barber, 38, was not portrayed in the first cast photo but will be included in the film as she reacted to the image: 'Thank goodness Kimmy Gibbler didn't make it into this cast photo'
