But British actress Gemma Arterton has stepped outside the casting box to become a gun-toting zombie killer in her latest film role.
The brunette beauty, 29, was spotted shooting scenes for She Who Brings Gifts alongside Glenn Close and Paddy Considine in Birmingham on Monday.

Dressed in military khakis, the screen star looked convincingly bellicose as she navigated the streets in character.
Wearing a checked shirt under a chunky-knit jumper, she capped the costume with thick leather army boots for added authenticity.

The thriller, adapted from M.R. Carey’s best-selling novel The Girl With All The Gifts, is set in a dystopian future in which most of humanity is wiped out by a fungal infection.

Her hair was cropped into a pixie cut and she completed her look with khaki trousers and a checked shirt.
Seen taking a brief break alongside Gemma, the women also wore designer sunglasses to shield themselves from the bright weather and harsh studio lights.
