Opening up: Amber has spoken for the first time about her marriage to Hollywood legend Johnny Depp
Mind the gap? Johnny is 13 years Amber's senior... but that doesn't appear to be a problem for the pair
Amber seemed reluctant to go into further detail about the marriage, in attempt to keep her private life private.
She explained: 'The thing that really scares me is the potential of losing my freedom.'
'I never want for my life to lose the ability to transverse the world, with freedom and ease - the freedom and ease I have worked so hard to acquire for myself.'
Visible on the cover shot was Amber's tattoo that she had done in 2009, which is a love poem by Pablo Neruda.
Stunning: Despite dressing up (or down) for the glamorous shoot, the actress complained about her looks holding her back in her career
The inking says 'Te amo como se aman ciertas cosas oscuras, secretamente, entre la sombra y el alma', and is said to mean 'I love you as one loves some dark matter, secretly, between the shadow and the soul'.
There also appeared to be another new inking below it.

'I feel like I'm constantly fighting against my exterior, or this exterior presentation of myself because of how I look or perhaps because of who I'm with,
She also bemoaned the lack of good female roles for women in Hollywood: 'I get a stack of scripts, like, once a month, and most of the time, you find these placeholder girls that are there to provide a bounce for the male character.'
Amber's husband is one of Hollywood's richest stars, having earned millions from the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise and a string of other Hollywood successes.
Breakout star: Amber tells ELLE Magazine that she is a 'fiercely independent spirit'
In recent months, he has been in Australia filming scenes for his much-anticipated new movie in the franchise, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Last month, Johnny was threatened with legal action after jetting his two dogs on location with him.
The actor was forced to remove his pet Yorkshire Terriers, Pistol and Boo, from the country by the Australian Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce otherwise they would be 'destroyed,' as he failed to adhere to quarantine laws and instead 'snuck' the pooches across the border via a private jet.
