While most celebrities were still nursing a sore head, Liv Tyler was up early going from party princess to mom mode.

The 37-year-old star spent Monday evening being the belle of the very stylish ball at a Stella McCartney fashion show, however, the next day she was busy running errands around New York first thing with son Sailor.

Deciding against getting a celebrity-favoured chauffeur ride around town, the star headed out in the West Village on foot with her five-month-old strapped to her chest in a Baby Bjorn.

Setting a cracking pace, with what appeared to be her nanny trying to keep up with the pram behind her, Liv dashed across the busy streets.

Making sure her little man was not too bothered by all the loud sounds of Manhattan, every so often the Leftovers star tenderly stroked him on the head.

For her day of errands, a makeup-free Liv took to the streets in a flowing paisley print dress.

The frock had a very Seventies vibe with its billowing sleeves and green print.

The star accessorised her look with a pair of strappy flat slip on sandals and classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer shades.

Little Sailor meanwhile, was dressed in theme his name suggests, wearing a pair of blue cropped pants, blue socks and a white long sleeve shirt.

Liv's flowing feminine look was a departure from her striking pant suit ensemble that she wore the night before at the Stella McCartney Spring 2016 Resort Presentation.

The star wore chic matching black skirt and pants featuring a pattern made from vibrant coloured feline predators.

Besides popping out to the odd fashion event, Liv has been spending all her time with her growing family of late while her show The Leftovers is between seasons.
