Her boyfriend quashed rumours of an impending engagement on Loose Women earlier this week.

And on Thursday, Lucy Mecklenburgh decided to keep busy by continuing with her relentless workout regime.

Taking to her Instagram page, the former TOWIE babe can be seen posing front of a mirror in a super tight grey sports bra and black gym leggings.

The 23-year-old, who has been dating the Olympic gymnast for six months, has been busy filming her latest fitness DVD in the hope to help kick-start a new ‘summer body’ fitness regime.

Speaking on the ITV chat show, the 26-year-old sportsman was quizzed by panellist Ruth Langsford on whether or not the couple were planning on walking down the aisle.

He replied: 'I’m sorry but we’re not. I woke up and googled that and it said that we’re engaged.'

Egged on by Jamelia to propose, Louis added insult to injury when he looked down the camera and said: 'I’m sorry to disappoint you Lucy but we’re not getting engaged yet.'

However, it wasn't all doom and gloom and Louis did have some warm words to say about the 23-year-old former TOWIE star.

He said: 'She’s gorgeous. She’s hard not to like.'

He won't be swayed: Egged on by singer Jamelia to propose, Louis added insult to injury when he looked down the camera and said: 'I’m sorry to disappoint you Lucy but we’re not getting engaged yet'

And talking about meeting her on ITV entertainment show Tumble, he said:

'There were rumours that we liked each other on the show, whilst the show was going on, but we hadn’t spoken before and that’s how we started talking.'

Louis' latest marriage talk is in contrast to what he said in a recent interview with Star magazine when he was asked what the next stage of his relationship would be.

He told the publication: 'I guess, as traditional as it goes, either living together or getting engaged.

'I have no dates or anything planned, it's still very early, but the next thing would have to be marriage.'

Lucy was previously engaged to her former TOWIE co-star Mario Falcone, but the couple split up in 2013 over cheating allegations.
