If there's one thing that features heavily in Jurassic World, it's running - but unlike her co-stars, Bryce Dallas Howard had to do it all in high heels.

As the actress sat down with co-stars Chris Pratt and Jake Johnson on The Late Late Show on Wednesday, her special skill became the subject of talk and much praise.

And host James Corden used the opportunity to give Pratt a little taste of what it must have been like trying to escape the Indominus Rex in a pair of heeled pumps - much to the amusement of his castmates and the audience.

Working it: Chris Pratt was given a pair of heels on the set of The Late Late Show on Wednesday and did a good job of walking about the set in them

Howard, 34, explained: 'Honestly, I trained for running in heels as if I was in the Olympics,' she said. 'This is a life and death situation here. I better be sorted.'

Pratt praised the actress: 'It wasn't just on hard surfaces - this was through the jungle in Hawaii, through mud... she was a total trooper

'She never once rolled an ankle or popped a knee.

Voila! After praising Bryce, 34, for being able to escape the dinos while wearing heels, host James Corden presented the actor with his own pair of pumps to try out

Corden turned to Pratt to ask: 'Have you ever run in a pair of heels?'

The 35-year-old star laughed while admitting 'I've never found a pair big enough to run in'

At that moment, the host handed the father-of-one a pair of patent red pumps to try out for himself.

Carefully does it: The star had a little unsteady start as he navigated the steps from the stage as his co-stars and the host looked on

Giving it some flair: The Guardians Of The Galaxy star trotted off toward the band area with his arms out stretched

Made it: The actor gave a band member a high five

Nailed it: The actor was very pleased with himself when made it back to the stage without tripping up

Pratt accepted the challenge and put on the shoes, modeling them with a little flair as he walked from the stage to the band and back again with his arms out stretched.

While it may not have been a sprint, it was still a strong effort for the Guardians Of The Galaxy star.

The film takes place 22 years after the original when a fully functioning dinosaur theme park is up and running, but a new attraction meant to get more visitors backfires.

By far, the winner of the sartorial contest at Tuesday night's premiere of Jurassic World was Dallas Bryce Howard. She chose a silhouette from Emilio Pucci's Fall 2014 collection and it was made for her in navy blue, a color that played beautifully off of her red hair.

She cut an elegant swath in the long-sleeve gown that featured a keyhole in the front--the effect was demure, but not THAT demure. She turned around to reveal the back where the real party was going on: gold chains and a deep plunge revealing most of her back.

Navy is such an elegant, classic color; a little more exciting than basic black but still a staple. In a cut like Pucci's, you can't go wrong.
