New couple alert? Nina Dobrev 'gets cosy' with Whiplash star Austin Stowell during night out in LA

She has stayed single since splitting from Ian Somerhalder in 2013, aside from a brief fling with Derek Hough which lasted for six weeks.

But it seems Nina Dobrev has a new beau in her life.

The 26-year-old Vampires Diaries star was spotted 'getting cosy' with Whiplash's Austin Stowell, 30, at the Hallmark Shoebox relaunch in Hollywood on Wednesday night, an onlooker told People.

Nina Dobrev arrives in style to the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards

Nina and Austin apparently couldn't get enough of each other's company at the event, held at The Inprov, and were seen laughing together throughout the evening.

'She was very happy to have a night out with her new guy,' an insider told the publication. 'And she was very excited to see her friend Rob Riggle host the show.'

This isn't the first time the two have been seen together.

Nina and Austin were in the same company as they attended an intimate dinner with fans for a Kind Campaign fundraising initiative last week. They also attended the Indy 500 last month.

The Bulgarian-born beauty previously dated her Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder, going public with their romance in 2011 before parting ways in 2013.

Ian married Nikki Reed in April after a year of dating.

Last month, Nina spoke about the split to E! News, saying, 'I've said this before, that we didn't break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn't love or friendship,'

'I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change. Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now.'

Nina's healthy attitude on the subject was refreshing, especially since many fans believed she left the show because of awkwardness surrounding the love triangle.

'When I heard about the wedding, I thought it was beautiful,' she said. 'They look happy and I am happy and so I don't see why there should be a problem with that.

'The drama is in the media, it's not with us. But of course, we're on a teen drama show, everyone's going to look for drama.'
