Lourdes Leon continues to experiment with quirky style as she showcases her silver locks and septum piercing on coffee run

Her mother is the queen of reinvention and is known for her daring outfit choices.

So it comes as no surprise that Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon is also trying her hand at switching her style up.

The 18-year-old, who goes by the name of Lola, rocked her new ash grey tresses as she popped out to get an iced coffee in SoHo, New York City.

With her long grey locks left flowing down her bag, the 18-year-old showed off her natural beauty with minimal make-up.

Loudres is currently studying performing arts at her mother's old college, the University Of Michigan, where she is said to be residing in a shared box room.

Her mother revealed that she gave the teenager three key pieces of advice, before she started at college.

'Try to do everything in moderation,' she said of the wisdom she imparted to Lourdes, 'Try not to kill all your brain cells. And try to go to class.'

And while to many, Madonna is a globally-successful super star, she added that - when it comes to her daughter - she worried and frets just like any other mother.

'I'm very, you know, worried,' she told father-of-three Carson.

'[I always ask her]: "Are you OK? Are you getting enough sleep? Are you eating right?"

'You know, I set up a humidifier in her room with eucalyptus oil. I was worried about the fact that she didn't have enough towels, Q-tips, you know.'
