Britney Spears isn't just a doting mum to her two sons Jayden and Sean, but she's also a proud aunt to her niece Maddie.

'How cute is Maddie watching mom rehearse? Good luck at #CMAFest on Saturday @jamielynnspears!' the 33-year-old pop star wrote on Instagram with a cute snap of the little girl watching her mother, Britney's sister, Jamie Lynn Spears belting it out at rehearsals for the 2015 CMA Music Festival on Wednesday.

'Wish I could be there!' the Pretty Girls hitmaker added.

Jamie Lynn, 24, was casually clad in a black blouse and black and white shorts, as her six-year-old watched on from a chair.

Maddie fit right in with a pink pair of headphones while making herself comfortable by bending her legs and sitting barefoot, with her arms wrapped around her legs.

The former Nickelodeon star is set to perform at the CMA Fest in Nashville on Saturday.

Meawhile, Britney was looking cool and sassy thanks to a brand new haircut that flattered her features and provided relief from the heat as she enjoyed some retail therapy in Thousand Oaks, California on Wednesday.

Britney's blunt-edged locks bounced as she emerged from the M. Frederick store with her bodyguard who carried a large bag of purchases.

The singer was flashing a beaming smile on her face - a sign of a successful shopping trip.

The mother-of-two showed off her dancer's physique in a little black top that featured a deep V-neckline in the front and matching black shorts.

She accentuated her toned figure with a pair of black and tan platform heels for some extra height.

Before her excursion, the ex-wife of Kevin Federline showed off her outfit of the day with her fans and followers on social media.

Later that day, Britney was spotted in a different outfit opting for a white knit tank top and black running shorts while grabbing an iced tea.

She made a quick change into the laid back look and covered her eyes with cheetah print sunglasses.

The star premiered her new hair transformation on Tuesday with a selfie on her Instagram page.

Britney ditched her signature long tresses for a summer appropriate bouncy bob complete with side bangs.

'My new haircut!' she commented along with an emoticon of a pair of scissors.
