Ruby Rose and fiancee Phoebe Dahl headed out in New York on Friday and were in great moods.

And the pair had every reason to be, because as they hit the streets of Manhattan, thousands of Orange Is The New Black fans got to see the 29-year-old's first appearance on the Netflix early.

But no matter if Ruby - who plays main character Piper Chapman's love interest - is loved or hated by the diehard followers of the prison series, she already has ardent supporter in her soon-to-be wife.

Phoebe was wearing her fandom on her sleeve for all to see, quite literally, as she was carrying a big orange tote which read 'Is The New Black'.

The sweet gesture was only matched by her fiancee's loved up behaviour.

Orange is the New Black stars kick off new season in style

The pair's outing comes after Netflix surprised fans by making the third season of Ruby's new show available to stream early.

The season was supposed to be available at 3 a.m. ET on Friday but dropped six hours earlier.

The move generated instant buzz with Orange Is The New Black and OINB immediately trending.
