Life after Peggy: Elisabeth Moss lands two new movie roles as she continues on a high after Mad Men end and Tony Award nomination

Since wrapping her memorable final scenes as Peggy Olsen in Mad Men last month, Elisabeth Moss's career is going from strength to strength.

The 32-year-old has stepped out of the shadow of her on-screen character to land two new prestigious movie roles.

The actress is due to play a self-destructive alcoholic who hates her life in the screen adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, according to Deadline

Be as dainty as Elisabeth in this Oscar de la Renta Resort flowery gown

Elisabeth Moss stays on top as she walks the red carpet of the Tony Awards Sunday. Along with the nomination she received she's set to star in two new films in the upcoming months.

Keeping with Mad Men's vibe, Moss dons this classic 60's style floral print, on a more modern cut dress. As seen on the Oscar de la Renta Resort pre-spring/summer 2016 runway, it's one of our favorites.

Floor length white silk with a yellow ribbon tie at the neck, this gown is adorned with a draping of tiny fuchsia, violet and lemon colored flowers. Way to brighten-up our day Elisabeth!

The publication says she will join Annette Bening and Saoirse Ronan in the screenplay which started as a play in the 19th Century.

Elisabeth is also due to start shooting gritty indie drama The Free World in New Orleans next month, where she'll play a mysterious woman with a violent past.

Throughout her time on the show's seven series, viewers had followed Peggy as she battled with the challenges of being a young working woman in a male dominated industry and era.

The final episode of Mad Men in May saw the ambitious copywriter embark on a sudden fling with Stan Rizzo.

Last week she told Late Night host Seth Meyers that her final scenes were challenging.

Speaking on the show, she explained: 'The box was heavy, the painting was awkward and large and smoking a cigarette and walking with sunglasses is really difficult to do,

'I was trying not to bump into walls,' she added.

On Sunday she upped the glamour when she attended the 69th Annual Tony Awards at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

The blonde actress missed out to winner Helen Mirren after being nominated for Best Actress in a Play for her role in The Heidi Chronicles.

However, she can console herself with her numerous upcoming feature film roles including the drama Queen Of Earth out later this month and the films Meadowland, Truth and High-Rise opposite Sienna Miller due out.

The actress married comedian Fred Armisen in October 2008, but they split in 2010 and divorced a year later.
