Hull manager Steve Bruce is considering Blackburn’s Jordan Rhodes and Burnley’s Charlie Austin as he looks to strengthen his strike force.
The experienced manager knows more firepower is key if he is to succeed in keeping his team in the Premier League following their promotion from the Championship.
Charlie Austin and Jordan Rhodes were among the Championship's most prolific goalscorers this season and both are thought to be equally capable of successfully stepping up to the top flight.
Proven: But can Jordan Rhodes or Charlie Austin step up to the Premier League?
Ambitious: Steve Bruce wants to establish Hull in the Premier League
The £8m signing of Rhodes broke Blackburn's transfer record but after a disappointing league performance for Rovers Bruce is hopeful of succeeding in luring him to the North East.

Say what you like about Venkys but would they let a player they paid £8m for go on the cheap? Not a chance. They would want more than they paid and at the very least, the £8m recouped. Would Hull pay £8m on a player who is unproven in premier league? Unlikely, do they even have that sort of money?
