Starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard the film is set 22 years after the original Jurassic Park story, and the story returns to Isla Nublar where the dinosaurs have finally become part of a fully functioning theme park.

Unfortunately, a desire to up ticket sales led to a genetically engineered super dinosaur, Indominus Rex, bringing havoc once again to the island.

Chris plays Owen Grady, who works training velociraptors, in the Colin Trevorrow directed big-budget action adventure, which is expected to recoup its $150 million costs before the weekend is out.

The movie earned $83 million at the box office on Friday alone, putting it on track for at least $180 million this opening weekend, according to Variety, which would mean Jurassic World breaking the record for the highest-grossing June opening.

In addition to breaking the June weekend record, the movie is expected to rank third in overall opening weekends, behind only The Avengers ($207 million in 2012) and The Avengers: Age Of Ultron ($191 million in 2015).

Chris is now filming Magnificent Seven with Denzel Washington, due for release in January 2017.
