Hitting the ground running: Sofia Vergara goes casual as she covers up her curves in work-out wear for cross country flight

We’re used to seeing her in curve enhancing dresses and towering heels but Sofia Vergara proves that even the most stylish need a down day every now and again.

The 41-year-old chose a relaxed look as she jetted into Los Angeles on Tuesday following her Labor Day weekend in the Hamptons, New York.

It looked like the actress was preparing to hit the gym as she disembarked in her trainers and leggings.

The Colombian beauty still managed to make her causal outfit look effortlessly chic.

Pairing her black and white trainers and leggings with a loose fitted black sweater, the star added a pop of colour with her baseball cap.

The hat was a not too subtle advertisement for Sofia’s fiance’s latest venture, Onion Crunch.

Businessman Nick Loeb is behind the crispy sandwich and salad topping, and Sofia has been helping her man out by regularly donning clothes promoting the brand since it launched earlier this year.

Finishing her look off with a blue cross pendant and a stack of gold bangles, Sofia made sure her makeup and hair were immaculate even though she’d just spent hours on a plane.

The actress recently opened up on her love for primping and preening, telling Harper's Bazaar:

‘I'm Latin; I [get glammed up] no matter what. It's automatic. I shower, do hair and makeup. For me, it's like shaving. I don't believe in a natural look.’

Sofia and Nick had been enjoying a weekend in the Hamptons, taking in the Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton on Sunday.

Sofia practically stole the spotlight right from under the horses' hooves wearing a clingy black halter dress that featured see-through lace details in the bust and waist areas.

The flirty diva had a blast posing with her businessman fiance Nick, who looked casually chic in jeans, a mint-green checkered shirt, tan blazer and brown dress shoes.

She looks beautiful, and young for her age. I don't get this "I'm Latin - I get glammed up" nonsense though. If we're really going to believe stereotypes, Latin women tend to look great until middle age, then gain a lot of weight and stop making an effort. I know a lot of them, and my male friends hold this stereotype too. Eva Longoria's still hot, but look at her mother. She looks good and she earns it, but she's playing up her Colombian roots a little too much.
