They say that distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Clearly, Margot Robbie, 24, and her boyfriend Tom Ackerley have been missing one another while she shoots new movie Suicide Squad in Toronto, Canada this month.

So it was no surprise to see the pair go into PDA overdrive as they went for a romantic stroll on Thursday, as Tom paid Margot a visit on one of her days off.

In a romantic gesture for all to see, Tom quite literally swept Margot off her feet as he carried her down the street.

The pair were seen getting ice cream together while they caught up on what they've been up to over the last few weeks.

The Australian actress showed off her incredible figure in a stylish red playsuit that displayed her toned bare legs.

The on-and-off-again couple have been showing the world that they are very much on-again recently, as Margot was seen straddling the British film director when they were last seen together in April.

News of Margot's budding romance with Tom, who attended Godalming College, surfaced last year after the pair met while working together on Suite Francaise, which also stars Michelle Williams.
