What's better than caffeine? Britney Spears makes a chic coffee run in layered blouse and tailored grey trousers

She was just heading out for a cup of coffee, but Britney Spears looked ready for a boardroom on Saturday morning.

The 33-year-old singer had a neat and tailored look when she was spotted at a Corner Bakery in the Westwood neighbourhood of Los Angeles.

Britney seemed to walk briskly, hands either tucked into sleeves or clutching a coffee cup to deal with the morning cool.

Her blonde hair was loose and swept back in a slightly messy bob, while aviator sunglasses covered the singer's face.

Keeping her look basic at the early hour, Britney kept her makeup simple and accessorized her outfit's clean lines only with a key-shaped pendant on a silver chain.

For a top, Britney went with a long-sleeved white blouse that hung in draped layers longer in the back than in the front.

Low-waisted grey trousers looked crisp and snugged the singer's toned legs closely to just above the ankle.

Dark grey, open-toed pumps finished off Britney's outfit, revealing a hint of a tattoo on the singer's right foot.

Britney travelled only with a bodyguard for her coffee run, although she had been spotted out with her sons - nine-year-old Sean and eight-year-old Jayden - at a shopping mall the day before.

The morning seemed to be an unusually free one for a singer determined to be a good mother, even if it slowed her career.

'There's a lot going on with my kids and schools,' Britney recently told ABC News when asked about plans for her next studio album. 'I'm going to try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it's not my full priority right now.'

With her Las Vegas residency show extended for an extra three months in May, Britney has had that to occupy her time as well.
