Super fun date night! Rebel Wilson and Mickey Gooch appear to confirm their rumoured romance as they spend an evening together at the movies

They sparked romance romance rumours when comedian Mickey Gooch began flooding his social media pages with cute selfies of himself and Australian actress Rebel Wilson.

But it appears the pair have finally confirmed what everyone's been thinking - they're an item.

Mickey used Instagram to document his Saturday night with the 35-year-old, posting a snap of the pair at the cinema.

Armed with frozen Cokes and popcorn, the two huddled in close for the photograph.

He tellingly captioned the shot: '#Movie #DATENIGHT.'

Rebel and Micky have been taking some time recently to enjoy each other's company in the Big Apple and have taken Instagram followers along on the journey. 

The pair, who fueled dating rumours earlier this month after posting a range of loved-up snaps on social media, enjoyed a romantic dinner at the restaurant Beauty & Essex, according to E! News.

'The reservation was under his name,' the source told the entertainment website.

'They were definitely acting like a couple. Not too much PDA but hand holding and a kiss now and then. No cocktails, just drank water,' they continued.

The romantic dinner came after the couple enjoyed a night out at a Rangers game, where they sported matching red, blue and white jerseys earlier this month.

Rebel is in NYC filming How To Be Single, a romantic comedy that also stars Leslie Mann, Nicholas Braun and Dakota Johnson.

She was last seen in Pitch Perfect 2, which with a worldwide boxoffice of $250million managed to eclipse the popularity of the original.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a third film in the series has been green lit by Universal following Pitch Perfect 2's success.
