Rosario Dawson looks stunning in blue halter top and wide-legged trousers as she accepts humanitarian award at film festival in Italy
As an actress she's battled with hard-hitting story lines such as that of HIV positive drug addict Mimi Márquez in the musical RENT.
And Rosario Dawson proved that she's also receiving international acclaim for tackling social issues off the big screen on Saturday, as she was awarded a humanitarian award at the Taormina Film Festival, in Italy.
The 36-year-old took to the floor with her business partner Abrima Erwiah to accept the prize in recognition for their work with fashion enterprise Studio One Eighty Nine.

The Sin City actress, who is no stranger to advocating for positive social change, created Studio One Eighty Nine with her long-term friend to help curate African and African-inspired content through the shopping site.
Talking to Hollywood reporter about the venture's fashion line Dawson said: 'Let's not just make [the movement] a one-day event; let's create something that's going to be impactful and yearlong, so that's why we decided to call the line Fashion Rising because we're employing women.
'We're not going "Hey, we're going to keep raising funds to keep your kid in school, we're going to give you help and support for what you're already doing."'

Rosario also announced in May that she would she reprises her role as Claire Temple for the second series of Netflix's Marvel adaptatin, Daredevil.
She has described the show, which is part of a five-project deal with the streaming service, as a very 'real' experience where feelings towards characters can get 'confusing'.
'There’s this idea of, “Wow what is that that drives people to not take the easy route?' she told Den of Geek!
'Like who does that and why does it look so scary? This hero is doing things that makes you cringe and feel uncomfortable and this bad guy is actually someone who I sympathize with. It gets very confusing and gray and I like that.'
