She first stirred up controversy with her incredibly slim figure while heavily pregnant, but even in the face of criticism, Sarah Stage never shied away from the spotlight.

And the 30-year-old lingerie model is at it once again, this time entering the much-debated issue of public breastfeeding.

The Los Angeles model, who is famous for flaunting her toned physique in dozens of underwear selfies – even when she was nine-months pregnant - posted a photo of herself breastfeeding her two-month-old baby James Hunter on Friday, incensing critics once again.

The photo shows the happy new mom in jeans and an orange tank top, which she has pulled off of her right shoulder to uncover her breast. 'Love him so much #normalizebreastfeeding,[sic]' she wrote in the caption.

Her little boy's head obscures the full view of Sarah's bosom, but some followers were nonetheless offended by her post.

'I'm an advocate for breastfeeding and yes it is natural and has been done since the dawn of time,' wrote one commenter. 'I will never understand why women need to prove they know how to do it. Yes it's natural... so is sex! Keep it between you and your baby![sic]'

Another added: 'I completely agree with breastfeeding and think it is great for children and mother's alike! But I do not understand blasting it on social media - no one wants a picture of themselves on the internet sucking on their mother's teet #toomuch.[sic]'

Some followers even accused her of using the moment with her son to promote sponsors, with one writing: 'Such a private moment... Is everything for sale these days?'

However, the majority of comments from Sarah's fans were positive ones, with many leaping to defend her against the critics.

Sarah faced a similar debate last week when she shared an image of herself on Instagram indulging in her favorite fast food treat from In-N-Out, just hours after showing off her slim stomach in her latest swimwear selfie.

The svelte model hashtagged her post, showing her about to take a bite from a large cheeseburger, with #girlswithgluten, directing it to an Instagram page of the same name, which features beautiful women enjoying carb-tastic treats from pizza to cupcakes.

'I heart [burgers],' Sarah wrote in the caption, adding an emoji of a burger.

Sarah has long documented her love of burgers on social media, particularly from In-N-Out, where she has snapped photos for Instagram on many occasions in the past, during and after her controversial pregnancy. She even changed her Instagram handle to include two burger emoticons.

Despite her love of fast food however, the mother-of-one, who is of European and Costa Rican descent, is a well-known fitness fanatic and a workaholic, and kept up her incredible figure with regular trips to the gym and kept busy with modelling gigs throughout her her nine-month pregnancy.

She suffered abuse online from many on social media for her remarkably small baby bump, which some believed meant she was not properly eating or working out too much, hurting her unborn child.

Yet despite giving birth to a healthy baby boy named James Hunter on April 14, Sarah's posts continue to attract the ire of many social media users. The comment sections on her Instagram snapshots are littered with debates on postpartum bodies, with many harshly criticizing her for her frequent skin-baring selfies.

And the burger posts are no different, with users accusing the model of lying, suggesting she could not possibly keep up her enviable figure and still enjoy fast food.

'Doesn't even look like real bites,' wrote one woman. 'Her lips gloss is too perfect also to have just bitten into a burger. Because tearing off bits of a burger and posing with it is so cool [sic].'

But long-time fans of Sarah are quick to jump to her defense, with one writing: 'If you started following her since way back you'd know burgers are her thing and she probably has a high metabolism that lets her eat what she wants because she's naturally skinny and workouts [sic] to be extra fit. #stopjudging.'

In previous posts, Sarah has addressed the negativity coming her way while also thanking her loyal fans.

'I just wanted to say that I appreciate all of the love and support from you,' she wrote. 'And all of the mamas out there: you are all amazing!

'Whether you're in sweatpants and sneakers or a dress and heels, you're fabulous!! We should stick together and encourage each other instead of criticizing. Life is too short for negativity [sic].'

Aside from her most recent burger-loving photo, Sarah also loves to show off her beautiful baby boy James, who is blessed with an incredible amount of thick, dark hair.

Some of baby James' greatest hits on his proud mom's page include sweet shots of the tot in designer clothes and an adorable snap of the little boy in the bath, looking up at mom with his long-lashed almond-shaped eyes.

'I can't describe how much I love him,' she wrote on one post.
