With two thirds of its 289 square miles covered by tropical rainforest, adventure isn't hard to come by on the island of Dominica - unspoiled beauty and natural wonder are its obvious and indisputable calling cards. To get the word out to the world, the Discover Dominica Authority invited emerging filmmakers to enjoy the island for themselves and give their own unique perspective in the 2015 Dominica Film Challenge.

This fearless tourist risked his life to add the ultimate travel snap to his holiday photo album. Perched on a ledge at the famous Lion's Head mountain in Cape Town, some 2,000ft above the city, 24-year-old Alessio Bariviera leapt into the air in a dangerous stunt that was captured by a friend. The photo was snapped at a height more than double that of the Eiffel Tower.

A £600,000 project has been proposed to transform Cultybraggan Camp in Scotland into holiday accommodation. Fanatical Nazis, thought you have included Hitler's deputy, Rudolf Hess (top left), were locked up at the settlement during the 1940s. Also known as Camp No 21 it is the last remaining example of a purpose-built PoW camp in the UK. Historic Scotland has offered the project a conditional grant of £257,500.

The Daily Overview is a photography series, inspired by the 'overview effect' - the sensation that astronauts experience when they view the Earth from space - developed by Benjamin Grant. The New Yorker selects iconic landscapes, such as Bondi Beach in Australia and Central Park in Manhattan, offering satellite views that Instagram users would otherwise rarely see. Earlier this year, he released a set of images, showcasing everything from a turbine interchange in Florida to a sky-high view of the streets of Barcelona. Now, he and his team are back, with a new set of minimally-edited Google Earth images, featuring even more places where 'man has left his mark' most profoundly.
