But British actress Liz Hurley is clearly keen to prove that age is just a number by stepping out in a succession of youthful styles.

The Austin Powers star, who celebrated her landmark birthday on Wednesday, was seen leaving her London home for a lunch date on Saturday.

Fortunately, Liz's happiness isn't just confined to her personal life - she's also enjoying a career revival with American TV series The Royals.

The series is about to undertake filming for the second season, which follows on from a successful debut which garnered positive reviews.

The show made news even before it was aired as E! have already committed to a second series.

Taking to Instagram to share her excitement about starting work on series three on Monday, Liz said: 'The Royals is coming back soon. Reading first episode of Season 2 now and it's h-o-t #TheRoyals'
