'Shout out to THOSE eyebrows and bangs!' Lupita Nyong'o pokes fun at her schoolgirl look in fun Flashback Friday snap

She is one of the most beautiful women in the world and the face on Lancome but rewind 18 years and   was just a kid wanting to try out having bangs.

The 32-year-old star made herself and fans laugh on Friday as she posted an Instagram from when she was at school.

Now known for her glamorous style, the Oscar winner does not rate the look she rocked as a 14-year-old.

Posting the picture on Instagram the star joked: '#fbf school days. Shout-out to full eyebrows and fringes/bangs at 14. #RusingaSchoolNairobi.'

While Lupita thinks she does not look her best in the picture, with her beaming smile and ability to catch the attention of the camera - clearly there was a star already in there.

Of course, the star has long given up on having bangs and now rocks a very cropped short 'do.

The 12 Years A Slave star even once rocked a completely shaved head, cutting off all her hair at 19 because it had gotten so damaged from chemical treatments.

She told Redbook: 'It wasn't on a whim - spent days thinking about it first. Once I did it, it was very liberating, but I also felt very naked. When you feel the wind on your scalp, it's like, ''Oh my god!'' But I've kept my hair short ever since.'

While happy to change her hair look for a role, in her next project she will not have to worry about that as it is unlikely fans will even get see her hair.

Lupita stars in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as Maz Kanata but reportedly the pirate character is actually going to be created using computer generated images based around the actress' figure.
