The 51-year-old actor was the only person in his vehicle when police officers stopped him following reports of a suspected drunk driver.
Because of worries that the two-time Emmy nominee might be suffering from a medical condition, law enforcement called an ambulance to take him to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre.

Not good: Several policemen were involved in the stop, which led to the actor's arrest and transportation to the hospital
No known cause: The police have not released information about what caused the DUI
Objections? While he was not fighting, Stamos did seem to be arguing with his arresting officers
Prophetic post: Ironically, the two-time Emmy nominee had tweeted: 'A s***-ton of moderation is the key to life' just four days prior to his DUI
Ironically, the They Came Together hunk had tweeted: 'A s***-ton of moderation is the key to life' just four days prior to his DUI.
It's a shocking move for the evergreen heartthrob, who had no known prior brushes with the law.
