Jaime Winstone and Lily Allen were once firm friends, and almost became sisters-in-law. 

So why was the atmosphere so frosty when I spotted them at a Louis Vuitton party last week? The former ‘bezzies’ kept well away from each other.

Whispers from my sources suggest that actress Jaime, who has twice been engaged to Lily’s 29-year-old brother Alfie, blames her for their break-up.

Jaime and Alfie had been an item on and off for a decade but broke off their engagement earlier this year. Might it be that Jaime believes Lily, 30, influenced Alfie’s decision to ditch her? 

It is rumoured that Lily may not be attending the summer celebrations for Jaime’s 30th birthday.

The 24-year-old Hugo Boss and Burberry face has bought a top-of-the-range trailer complete with blacked-out windows.

They're tended by an army of loyal groundsmen who keep them just the way the Queen likes them – but Prince Charles is quietly planning to dig up and replace his mother’s beloved gardens at Balmoral and Sandringham.

Charles will modernise the traditional clipped yew hedges and ornamental walled gardens, his friend Alan Titchmarsh told me – but not until he becomes King.

‘He will want to do his own thing and create something less conventional than what is there now,’ the green-fingered TV star said.
