Grey suits her! Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon continues to sport silver locks as she wears a mini-dress in New York City

Having already worked on a clothing line with her pop icon mother at only 18-years-old, Lourdes Leon certainly has her finger on the pulse when it comes to what's trendy.

And the teen - who goes by Lola -  demonstrated her sartorial smarts on Friday as she showed off silver locks when she stepped out in New York City with a friend.

She wore her newly-dyed tresses - she'd recently sported a pink 'do - pulled back into a tight topknot, showing off a popular new trend that has been dubbed 'granny hair.'

Lola wore a sleeveless, form-fitting black and white striped dress, which highlighted the designer's trim figure.

She coupled the look with a pair of black Nike Air Force 1s and coordinating black socks. rolled up just past her ankles.

She accessorized with a few coordinating black bracelets, and was also seen sporting a large black backpack.

Madonna's daughter also donned a collection of silver bracelets, necklaces, and a pair of large hoop earrings.

She is currently studying performing arts at her mother's old college, the University Of Michigan, where she is said to be residing in a shared dorm room.

During a March interview with Carson Daly on the Today show, her mother revealed that she gave the teenager three key pieces of advice, before she started at college.

'Try to do everything in moderation,' she said of the wisdom she imparted to Lola, 'Try not to kill all your brain cells. And try to go to class.'

And while to many, Madonna is a globally-successful super star, she added that - when it comes to her daughter - she worries and frets just like any other mother.

'I'm very, you know, worried,' she told father-of-three Carson.

'[I always ask her]: 'Are you OK? Are you getting enough sleep? Are you eating right?''

'You know, I set up a humidifier in her room with eucalyptus oil. I was worried about the fact that she didn't have enough towels, Q-tips, you know.'
